Just read on another board that Spurrier and Shula agreed to wear different Jerseys for this game. What I mean by that is that Bama will be wearing their Home jersey (Crimson) while South Carolina wears their visitig jerseys (white).
Anybody else heard this?
Not that it makes a big difference, but I do like seeing Bama in their Crimson Jerseys, they look better.

Yes, we'll be wearing all white. Mostly because it's going to 95 degrees outside tomorrow. One of those little edges that the home team has. I don't know that it matters, but Coach seems to think so.

I guess you guys aren't used to playing when its that hot. I know Bama spent most of fall practice with heat indexes around 110 F. So we will see if it makes a difference, but I doubt it will.

We're plenty used to it. It's hot as hell in Columbia from May to mid-October.

I grew up in Columbia (lived there for 23 years). I also lived in Texas, Kentucky, and Georgia, before moving to L.A. (Lower Alabama) 10 years ago. I can honestly say there is not much difference in the temperature and humidity here in Lower Alabama than there is in Columbia.

Not only is Bama a better football team then us, Coach Byrant controls the weather to make it hotter in Bama than SC! Coach Byrant makes sure Bama dominates in all facets of the game! We have no chance....

Looking at a map, I guess there probably isn't. Considering that Columbia is a bit closer to a large mass of water than Huntsville is, I guess that could keep the humidity just as high as it is here.
Wearing black jerseys in the afternoon heat could be brutal. I can't imagine that Crimson is much better with the heat, but all in all, I don't imagine it will make a whole lot of difference. A lot of the kids on both teams grew up here in the southeast and are probably used to it.

I didn't realize at first that South Carolina has similar weather to Alabama but thanks for the smart@ss remark anyway. :)

You've all got it wrong. Darth Visor is too cagey for you. He realizes that Blake Mitchell will be able to see his receivers in white much better and complete even more passes. All hail the Visored One! Bammer's vaunted defensive secondary is about to bite the bullet and get their come-uppance. Spurs will conduct a coaching clinic for the not-the-sharpest-tool-in-the-box Shula, and Blake Mitchell will have a field day finding the white jerseys while Croyle is constantly slapped silly by the Cock defense. Cocks win 28-17.

I feel so much better now. Unlike LSWho, Bama has a defensive coordinator who is unafraid to have his secondary get within 7 yards of the opposing recievers. RTR

Well even if you are correct, I know the Bama secondary won't give up as many yards as that Pathetic LSU secondary did last Saturday night.
When you give up almost 500 yards through the air to anyone, its pretty obvious that youre secondary SUCKS. :D

Hey...I'd wear one of those....if you take the lame #22 off of it!!
Actually I am tired of AU's stripes. Thats definitely a bit extreme but I wouldn't mind a little something new.
I didn't like the Bronco/Miami stripes to begin with but now they don't seem so bad.
I've always hated Bama's uni's...even back in the day when I was a Tide fan. Way over due for some tweaking there. The helmets are the worst.

When I was in the army, I used to see these helicopters that were such lemons that they had "NO CARGO" stenciled on the cargo door. LSU's pathetic defensive coordinator should have "NO CONTACT" stenciled on the helmets of the Tiger defensive secondary.

While other parts of SoCal are different, the OC is never summer and never winter. On the few days when the temp goes into the nineties, the humidity is generally about 20% with mild ocean breeze. In the 20+ years that I have been here I have only cut on my furnace 10 times....and five of those were in the same year...El Nino 1998.
Don't miss the humidity.
Don't miss the bugs.
Don't miss the ice storms.

You guys need to stop believing everything you see on the nightly news.
California's violent crime rate of 579 per 100,000 is not statistically significant when compared to Alabama's rate of 429 per 100,000. This amounts to a difference of about three-tenths of one percent.
When broken down, murder rates are almost identical with a difference of two-one-hundredths of a percentage.
Rape, however, is almost 50% more common in Alabama than California and aggravated assault (fighting) is 50% higher in California than in Alabama. (Although it is thought that prevailing attitudes toward the use of physical violence to settle disputes mean that it is likely that these assaults do occur in Alabama, but are neither reported or prosecuted.)
However, if you really want to be a victim of rape or murder, travel to Louisiana or Mississippi. Louisiana's murder rate of 13 per 100,000 is over double that of California and Alabama's. Mississippi's 9.3 per 100,000 rate while a distant second is still 50% higher than the third place states (about 10 are tied at 6.8)
And talk about places not to leave your women folk alone, both have rates that are double California's and 50% higher than Alabama's.
Natural disasters - Sorry, but the three most costly natural disasters on record are all from hurricanes hitting the South. Katrina will be a world record, but Andrew and Camille (adjusted for inflation) were all more costly and more deadly that any earthquake in the last century. As far as any fires and mudslides go, we generally can't figure out what it is the national media is showing. Slow news days translate to hillsides slipping in Cali.
Traffic...well we DO have traffic, but we actually have places to go.
Believe me, the change of seasons thing is way over-rated. I'll show you my heating and air conditioning bills to prove it.
As far as the "alien" problem, we have Scully and Muldar on that even as we speak.
