Hurricane Katrina evacuees can attend Saturday's home game against Ball State for free, the university announced Tuesday. Auburn said any evacuees in Lee County, as well as evacuees from the Gulf Coast areas of Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi, will be admitted at no charge. Those fans need to present a valid driver's license to show their residency at Gate 12.

"I hope that Saturday's game can be an enjoyable diversion to those who have been impacted by Hurricane Katrina," said Athletics Director Jay Jacobs.

...I guess they are going to give them unsold tickets??
I know many ticket holders will pass on this game but that could be a pain in the ass if they are just filling in the empty seats.

well....i'm sure there won't be that many anyways. Likely just the folks that are staying in the area hotels.

Nice gesture i thought.

That is a very nice thing to do. Is the game on TV or PPV this weekend?

Ahhh, thanks. I see the AU game is on at the same time as Alabama/South Carolina. I guess I won't buy the game! What about UGA...what time is their game?
