Let's get talking about this defense. Even though we didn't interecept as many as we could, and maybe even should have, we at least got our hands on 6 passes, by my count.
Passing teams have to look at that stat, and they also will have to account for Mike West, who is a streaking bus. Have you seen that kid fly?? He's special.
Dam the Tide!! Go Cocks!!

yeah our secondary is VERY good. Ko could have had 3 picks but his hands werent working for him today. but we cant give up that many yards on the ground if we want to win more ball games.

i think passing defense was great. i think the linebackers did a wonderful job stoping shockley on the run, and i thought the d-line did great considering what they had. i mean, uga has one of the best o-lines we will see all year and there were times when i questioned only rushing 3 down linemen. i know john thompson did a superb job, and he'll forget more than ill ever know about the game of football, but georgia did not beat us on the pass, they beat us on the run. i just wish we would have put more men in the box more often and made dj shockley make some decisions. he's proved to me that he's not heisman material, but then again, i didn't buy into it last week. shockley is a great athlete, but he's just a glorified running back who can throw the ball well.

The passing game may not have beat us but one pass on 3rd and 22 did.

And he caused the interception that Joseph hauled in for 32 yards (boy, Joseph really made up for last week's performance, eh?). Ko's hands haven't been as sticky this year, but he gets his hands on the ball alot, and can really get to the ball quickly--love the way he "plays possum".

Do you think we will need to worry about stopping the run against Florida, or Vandy, or Kentucky, or Clemson, or Auburn? Tennessee will run a lot, but if we are able to contain these teams and shut down their pass, that's bowl eligibility. I'm just saying it could be worse.
Where's_Demetris?

Ko dropped alot last year too if I remember, yeah he had 6 INTs but I remember him letting quite a few slip through his hands then as well. Give him time he can't drop them forever; hopefully these broken up passes will soon turn to defensive TDs.

actually yes we do need to worry about the run. Clemson has an Oustanding freshmen running back, that could really hurt us if we dont stop the run. i dont know much about the other teams running attack but i know clemson has a very good RB that could keep us from beating them
