Well I didn't think it could happen but Mr. Mitchell has made a believer out of me, and I'll wager a lot of the gamecock faithful. I think Spurrier has found his QB, he still makes mistakes sure but when you can lead a team with such a weak running game against a team like UGA (and with only 2 career starts) I think you have to be impressed. I can definetly see him being the starter for the rest of his career here if he doesn't get hurt, as I can see him becoming more confident and getting a better grip on the offensive schemes.

Yes, poor rabidcock...ignored with his lone prediction of Blake Mitchell's success...post after post. But that will end tomorrow, when I have pointed out all my logical posts as to why he would be the heir apparent. And I EXPECT many congratulatory pats on the back for my predictions.

Everything I had seen and heard Blake did not have his head in the game (to much partying in 5 points) to be a factor. I guess he is proving everyone wrong so far completing 70% of his passes 4 td's to 1 Int. and almost 600 yards passing in the first 2 games. I will take that all day and twice on sundays.

One on each arm, one on left calf. I already can't wait till next year, or even halfway point in this season. I think the Mitchell, Newton, Rice, and Clark connection is going to be really huge this year. By the by how many catches/yards does whiteside have now.

I'm baffled why everyone seems to think the running game isn't there at all. Maybe our running backs haven't run far after taking a handoff, but it should be noted that all of the checkdowns and screen passes are keeping the chains and clock moving, as iis the goal of any running game.

Don't get me wrong; I'd like to see a fullback lead-blocking on a toss sweep or a counter play and springing a speedy tailback as much as the next guy, but we don't have the offensive line for that. For now, we should be content to see the chains moving with a ball-control offense, whether by runs or short, efficient passes.

Some people can't seem to see past their faces, Greer. The running game is vastly improved. The Dogs had a great defense and we ran better against them than UCF (did everyone note the UCF/ Troy score?). We had a lot more negative yardage though, against a stalwart GA defense, so it wasn't evident in the stats. Look for 100+ yards rushing next week vs. Alabama.
