No one has started one that I am aware of yet, so lets get your opinions.

Texas vs. Ohio St.

Who wins and why?

I believe Texas will win the game. Texas's D is good and OSU will be starting an small freshman RB. The D-Line at Texas is good and I think will shut up the run. This is going to put a lot of pressure on OSU's young inexperienced QB's and will lead to turnovers IMO.

Texas - 27
OSU - 17

I think you're right. Texas is going to put it all together for this game, and their speed and talent at QB will be too much for the Buckeyes to handle. I like your score; sounds about right.

I hope Texas wins but I wouldn't bet against Ohio St at home at night. Both teams are loaded this year. I think the home field will factor in and OSU wins by 3.

Texas wins, or at least I hope. Vince Young is too dang awesome to beat by some northern boys. My buddy constantly talks about how great the big ten is, and it would certainly shut him up.

i say ohio state by 3, because that is what they do, they win by three. ohio state has an up and coming offense with some good playmakers and a good defense, with enough speed to stop vince young. i say they kick a field goal with 2 minutes to go for the win.

First to admit I don't know much about Ohio St. this year, but going from past experience, Big 10 teams always seem to be playing in slow motion. Although OSU will have a big crowd behind them I think Texas' speed will win out. Texas by 7.

But that is how they win...they slow the game down. Think about it, Big 10 teams don't usually get pounded the way Oklahumble did last year. Except for the occasional whupping (ie. UTK 45 UM 17) they tend to lose by a touchdown or two. It's incredibly boring football, but it works.

If Ohio State picks up where they left off last year, they could be okay this year. I have to agree with what was said by someone else. I believe Texas to be a hair better, but at Columbus at night...this could be decided in the final seconds with a slim victory by OSU.

In the battle of Coaches, you have Mack Brown who has yet to really win an important game and Jim Tressel who cheated his way to a 14-0 season and then managed to lay off all the blame on Maurice Clarett and a couple of patsy assistant coaches. They deserve each other.

I think Texass' LBs spy Young, taking away the running lanes and forcing him to throw....which is not his (or Texass') strong suit. It's in the 'Shoe, tough crowd...Bucks get their starting QB back.

I like OSU in a great game.

Texass' LBs spy YOung, taking away the running game? Wake up my Swamp living friend(the friendship goes out the window starting next Monday btw.) :D

Okay, I think OSU is going to win this game in the last four minutes of the game. Ginn Jr. will either take one back all the way or set up OSU for the game winning drive. I'd expect more scoring than most expect

I think Texas will win IF:

They stop Ted Ginn from taking a big kick/punt return all the way for 6.

If I were Ohio State, and the coin flipped my way, I'd give it to Ginn at kickoff and hope he can get the momentum and the crowd into the game early.

He meant Ohio State LB's and I agree 100%. Even with the score. Nice post

Oops...my bad, lol. Yeah, I meant OSU's LBs....long day.

I think A. J. Hawk is going to haunt Young for all four quarters. Watch for the OSU DL to rush upfield and keep Vince in the pocket, taking away much of the perimeter game and channeling the activity right into that great LB group.

No one can stop Ginn Jr. (except maybe scUM's Hester), and a tough homefield advantage (much tougher than any other Big XII stadium, imo) ends Texass' hope of an undefeated season.

Texan defense only slightly less adequate than Buckeyes.
Texas offense vastly superior.

ergo: Texas by a touchdown and a half!
