BATON ROUGE (AP) — The LSU-North Texas football game, originally scheduled as the season opener for Sept. 3, has been re-scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 29, in Tiger Stadium.
The postponement was forced by Hurricane Katrina.
The Oct. 29 shift was made possible when two other games involving North Texas, Louisiana-Lafayette and Louisiana-Monroe, were moved to different dates, LSU said in a news release Friday.
An Oct. 29 game between North Texas and Louisiana-Monroe has been moved to Nov. 19. A Nov. 19 game between Louisiana-Monroe and Louisiana-Lafayette has been moved to Nov. 26.
