There is a special place in hell for these public servants....

Just as dusk set in, a Gretna Sheriff showed up, jumped out of his patrol vehicle, aimed his gun at our faces, screaming, "Get off the fucking freeway". A helicopter arrived and used the wind from its blades to blow away our flimsy structures. As we retreated, the sheriff loaded up his truck with our food and water.

I'm sure they'll receive a letter of reprimand & they'll be forced to sign a written "I'll never do it again" promise.

A very sad time indeed. I still do not understand while people who are not from the city decided to stay. Another smack in the face of the unpreparedness of the US to deal with this tragedy. Making people stay in New Orleans is just beyond belief. I can not write what I think should happen to some of these so called public servants.
