At my church this morning in Baton Rouge, they introduced a huge contingent of Tennessee Volunteers from the Tennessee Baptist Convention who had set up shop on our huge back parking field and gym to serve over 30,000 meals DAILY to evacuees from the hurricane. These people are unpaid, unreimbursed volunteers who are giving their time and their resources to help people. This sort of thing is going on all over Baton Rouge. America is a nation of great people and these Tennessee volunteers are some of them.

I'm glad to here it. I know our church has around 20 people in Louisiana and Mississippi. Hope everyone gets taken care of down there.

( Gotta support our nickname somehow :D )

Thanks for the good news. At my church, there were around 30 or so evacuees from the Gulf Region. Our Pastor assured them that the least of their worries would be food, lodging, and other essentials. This is happening all over the country.
On the radio, there is news of drives and donations to help those in need. It is encouraging to know that this country really can come together when it has to and that the volunteers from Tennessee are also doing their part.

Man, that's really nice! You guys in Tennessee are fine folks! Nice to know that we have such neighbors. Thanks for all that you are doing. Our people are going to be hurting for a long, long time, but with the kind help you and other Americans are giving, they will come back stronger than ever. God Bless You for your generosity and unselfishness.
