Auburn is not looking good so far. GT on the other hand has been quite impressive.
GT 17 Auburn 7 (1:28 left in the first half)
I hope Tommy can whip them into shape at the half.

Yep, but Auburn's driving (on the 15) with about 50 seconds left in the half. They should get at least a FG out of it and hopefully a TD.

INT thrown by Cox with 3:40 left in the 4th quarter. Not looking good for AU....

This is not a good night for Auburn Fans. Its always hard to break in a new QB and I don't think people have been realistic about their expectations for Auburn this year. Although, Their Defense did look outstanding on most plays, considering they have been on the field all game.

wow, I was kinda wanting GT to win but I didn't think they had a shot. I guess I kinda understimated them, but I haven't heard a bunch of good things about Chan Gailey's coaching method so maybe that is why.

Ok, I admit it. I am depressed right now. Good thing I have several mixed drinks in my system! Even though Auburn didn't look horrible, they didn't look great either. I think we can do OK this season. I don't predict a great season though. I am not making excuses for them in any way, but there were several calls by the refs that weren't right and also many times that the refs didn't call things that should have been called...not saying that would have definitely made a difference in the game, but just stating my opinion. I sure do miss Jason Campbell, Ronnie Brown, Cadillac, and Carlos Rogers. Oh well...just happy that I got to watch football all day long. :(

You can't lose over a 100 million dollars worth of players and not expect a drop-off. Tough loss, but GT just wanted it more.

Don't be depressed. Auburn kept on coming back and coming back and they were on the verge of winning the darn thing. Cox is young, but he's smart and has excellent talent. Four wide receivers showed they can run routes and catch the ball well. Auburn is young and they will get better and better.

Thanks everyone for making me feel better! My husband said last night that I better stay off of the computer and especially away from folks talking about football. I told him that most of the folks at sectalk weren't like that...that they were good folks who pulled for the SEC. I am so happy to say that I am right about that! Thanks again!

lol.....exactly what I did.
Takes a day to cool off after a game like that.
No worries. GT started out hot. AU recoverd and if it wasn't for all the mental mistakes and crappy calls, they would have won that one. Look at the big picture...AU had more total yards & more first downs. It wasn't so bad. The defense turned it on after the 1st and AU was wearing them down on the line after the half.
It was Cox's first start and Gibb's first game as D. Co. Both looked confused. The mental mistakes will be corrected and confidence restored after eating up a few cupcakes.
