Is the line at -28?
If so then I'll take South Carolina 24 - UCF 3.
28 is a lot of points to score when its your first game in Spurs offense, but nothing wrong with a three touchdown victory.

At the end of the gold rush, I can see the score being...oh geez, let's say:
USC: 39
UCF: 9

I'm a betting that Neo and the rest of the cackling Carolina fans are going to be a heck of lot more humble come say 2200 this evening. Take the points, Carolina should win a hard fought battle. To say that SC fans are going to receive a reality check tonight is to severely understate it.
You Carolina guys are forgetting who will be on the opposing sideline. George O'Leary is a damn fine HC and even better x/o guy and the 0-11 record of last year about as applicable to this year's team as Skip Holtz's playbook is to SC's Offense this season. O'Lardy cleansed his program last year just as SOS has done at SC this year.

A dose of reality never hurt anyone....;)
QB Steven Moffett is a big Junior (6-3/220) who can give D's fits with his mobility. The running game has size as well with starter Wilcox going in the 220 range and JUCO FB Peters 230+ but a true freshman out of Miami might be the x-factor, Kevin Smith, who in camp has shown the quicks as well as the between the tackles ability. The Knights have experience at WR with SR Brandon Marshall (6-4/230) and JR Mike Walker (6-2/200) but backed up by 6-5 Sergiori Joachim and 6-2 Rocky Ross, both seeing their first PT. SC will have the experience edge as 52% of the UCF two deep is comprised of redshirt freshmen & sophomores. Only 6 Senior starters, 3rd fewest in D1A.
Despite the obvious youth of UCF, Y2O'Leary will feature a much more cohesive team than last year's make-do group and one which plays with fire in their bellies. O'Leary got rid of the slackers and while they are a mostly raw work in progress, you can bet your last dollar that the Knights will fight for 60 minutes for the Old Irishman will not tolerate less.

Many years ago, when I was in high school, a skinny (but bold) kid at my school went head-to-head with the school bully. He fought as hard as he could to the very end. He still went home a bloody mess. Get my point. ;)

Back to making it up to suit your agenda again Neo? Bias? LOL!
Me thinking you boys will have a game on your hands tonight disturb your jock sniffing from afar of SOS? UCF can't HELP but be better than last season, I mean how much lower than Zero wins can you get? SC will win but SC will not cover the spread, -21 is unrealistic and I have been consistent all offseason so I fail to see where 'bias' comes into it.
And what does what I think about UGA-BSU have to do with my thinking about your game???

I'll agree that you've been pretty consistent on your belief/assertions/statements that UGA will do no wrong this year.
Your bias (or ridiculous logic IMO) comes in your belief that an 0-11 UCF team from last year will come into WB and give us fits, while believing that UGA will absolutely annihilate (your words, not mine) a very solid Boise State team. Makes no sense to me.
If I were a betting man, I'd bet that SC would cover the spread before UGA would. And it appears that the oddsmakers agree with me since SC opened up as an 18.5-point favorite, and the line has increased to 21-points to try to get the betting folks to put some money down on UCF.

No, that means that Gamecock fans have been betting, not that Vegas agrees with you.. Vegas sets a line to try and keep an equal amount of money on both sides of the game. They could care less what the winning bet is. If there is a similar amount of money on both sides of the ball then they walk away happy, either way.

Since it started at 18.5, South Carolina fans have been betting because you guys think you'll be running the "fun-n-gun' from his UF days and will score 50 points. Thus the line moved up to entice some betters to take MTSU.
So what is actually means is that there are betters that thought that South Carolina would win by more than 18.5.
Now that the line is at 21 (and not moving) there are an equal number of betters on both sides (probably more like dollars on both sides..but you get the point).
I completely understand the way oddsmakers adjust the odds. However, it has nothing to do with whether GAMECOCK fans are betting. Most gamblers bet on who they think will cover and could give a rat's a$$ about team devotion. When the line was set at -18.5, gamblers who believe they know what they are doing (of all varieties and not just Gamecock fans) bet on the Gamecocks, thinking they'd cover. To try to get more people to bet on UCF, the oddsmakers kept increasing the line until it reached -21 (so that an equal amount of money is on both sides of the game, as you described). In the past, when I used to put a few bucks down on the games, I looked at the odds and went with the team I thought would cover the spread (without any devotion to my Gamecocks) As a matter of fact, I'd generally steer clear of my Gamecocks if I was doing a little betting.

I'd take that bet in a New York Nanosecond! It is evident that you don't really understand how Vegas works, and as such, your decision to avoid wagering is prudent. So poor would you become so very quickly that you would most likely not be able to afford an Internet connection and that would deprive you of my immense feetsball gnosis, shared freely here for the benefit of all who choose to avail themselves of it. :D
We will begin seeing in a few short hours whether my cautionary viewpoint is valid or whether you SC fan's juggernaut optomism is. My money is on UCF and the points.

It also doesn't mean that the line makers "agree" with you. They adjust the line because of betting, not because of how they think the game is going to turn out.

Don't pay the Corporal any attention. He couldn't get the gas to make it to the package store this morning and is without his scotch. Thus, he is even more grumpy and antagonistic than usual. I imagine before long he will be sipping at the rubbing alcohol which hopefully will improve his mood.

Where I went to school, the school bully made very quick work of his prey as he was also not stupid enough to challenge anyone perceived to possess the ability to go toe to toe with him. But, as Divine Providence would have it, he eventually made that mistake and the little new Korean kid karate kicked his butt all over the hall.
That was before Bruce Lee broke onto the scene and the martial arts became a part of our pop culture. None of us had ever seen such stuff and after witnessing that beating he gave the bully, I can assure you that many perspectives were instantly changed.

The Dimple is a popular BLEND of malted whiskeys, marketed as 'Pinch' here in the States. For those who cannot deal with the single malts which are the real Scotch Whiskeys, it offers a compromise which is more easy on uncultured palates. :p
Balblair, Cragganmore, Dalwhinnie, Glennfiddich, and The Macallan are popular single malt whiskeys for those who have never experienced the difference. Only in Scotland can a true Scotch Whiskey be made, for nowhere else are the ingredients and climate available to create the most truely unique beverages on Earth.

:D lol, I can eat crow with the best of them BD...I've already got the buck ready for him. It's all good though...I saw enough good things last night to be happy with where we are as a team.
We flashed the best-case scenario for a vast majority of the first half & the game was never in doubt, I don't care what the scoreboard said or where UCF was in the 4th. The mistakes we made are going to be great film for coaching & iI expect a lot of that to be corrected by the time we go to Athens.
We'll be fine...I'll get that dollar back later in the season plus more just because of how blown out of proportion the second half is going to be. We'll be fine....just fine.
