The Vols will play 18 of the 27 regular season games in the state of Tennessee. It is even better this year as the SEC Tournament is in Nashville. If everything worked out right, the Vols could play 21 games in the state. Bruce Pearl and team will get the chance to show their high energy play around the state. Pearl had been lauded by his supporters as a coach who understands coaching very well and a man who knows how to market a team.
Highlight Games include
@Texas, @ Oklahoma State, @ Memphis and the rest of the SEC Schedule.

UT has a men's basketball team?
Sorry, I just couldn't resist the chance to do that. It's the only thing we've had one up on you in the past few years. :D

Just my luck that the Vols play Bama in T-town this year. I guess the good news is that Pearl should have the team running on all cylinders. Gottfried and Pearl know each other from their previous coaching gigs(Murray State and Southern Indiana). There is also the last time that the two coaches faced off in the NCAA tournament. :D I'm not sure if this is a bad sign for the Vols or not, but the previous coach(Buzz Peterson) got the UT job after he beat Alabama in the NIT tournament. Hopefully, Pearl does not have the same lack of success that Buzz did.

But I meant we've been one up on you in basketball the past few years... before around 2001/2002 or so, we never had that great of a basketball team. I didn't keep up with it much before then, so I'm not truly sure of how we held up against UT on the court??
