I cannot believe this garbage. Just recently heard the Mayor of NO has told everyone to leave. This kind of stuff makes me sick.

Ok which part makes you sick? The Looting, or the shooting....I mean, these people have lost everything right, I don't think that stealing is right, but who are they going to pay? They have to eat, and feed their familys.....I am sure that there are some people that are using this horrific situation to steal...I don't know medication from a pharmacy, but in all honesty I think that these poor people are trying to survive...do you agree?

That would be the part where I said I am sure that some of these people are "using this horrific situation" I think that those a-holes should be beaten, but, people who lost everything, man, they need to eat, their kids need diapers. I mean what are they supposed to do? They are homeless, they are for the most part jobless, they have nothing left, I mean, I doubt that the ATMs are working

And lets not forget the car stereos and batteries. Low and behold what would they do without the cases of beer. The Majority of the looting is not for food.

I do not think for a minute the looting is for survival, there are thousands of people in the Superdome that have nothing, but are at least acting like human beings.

Yeah, the looting (at least the bulk of it) is not for survival. Most of it has been people stealing hard goods (ie Not food/diapers/etc), a lot of drugs/medication being stolen by people who do not need it (using them illegally), etc.

And for the shootings/carjackings, that's just sickening to me. I mean seriously folks, at what point does it seem RIGHT to take someone else's transportation (or life) away in order to help out yourself? Those people are going through the same thing you are, trying to use whatever is left of their vehicle to make it out of town.... and you take it upon yourself to steal it from them and even hurt them in the process. That's just sick, and is by no means survival. There are buses upon buses coming in to take everyone to Texas, so these people have no reason to continue this mess....

I don't think looting Wal-Mart's entire gun section is going to help any of them survive. They are also robbing the people that are trying to save them. Trust me it's not for survival. :(

I am not saying that you are all wronge in your feelings I totally agree with the side that says that some are looting out of plain greed, but when I hear of interviews with people who are getting food, I mean really getting things that they NEED, I have to believe that there is still good in. people in the world. I think it is dispicable that people are being so selfish in a time when God knows it should be the other way around. I know that it is hard to believe, but please try. While you are all very probably right, I know that at least some of the people involved are truly trying to help their families, friends or neigbors

These are gangster, drug-dealing thugs, the worst types in New Orleans. Some of them have migrated to Baton Rouge and are causing problems here. They are quickly creating an ire among Louisianians. Law enforcement is reacting rapidly, but most Louisiana people would prefer to shoot the thugs on sight. It is abhorrent that any human being would take advantage of people's misery like this.

That would be the looters that want this tragedy to continue for as long as possible. They should take all these non-humans, go in there in force, catch as many as possible and airlift them to Darfur and show them what lawlessness is all about. If they don't want civility, I say show them what it's like when there actually is none.
