Sorry, I just don't think AU stands a chance of going undefeated again this year.

At best I see a 9-2 season, with it more than likely being 8-3 or possibly even 7-4.

They'll lose at least two of the following games:
LSU
UGA
Bama

Potential losses include (at most, losing one of these):
GT
USC
UARK

Excellent analysis, and I agree. Auburn has a relatively easy schedule this year compared to other SEC heavyweights, but they will still lose 2 for sure, and maybe as many as 4.

how can you say that we lose two for sure. who knows? if brandon cox comes out and performs all-world like campbell did, who is gonna stop us? we don't know how he is gonna do. our defense is going to be great again, and our special teams are second to none. we could be like ohio state and win every game by 3 points. who knows? i'm not gonna predict we'll go undefeated, but i'm not gonna say we are definately gonna lose two of three to UGA, LSU and Alabama. UGA has just as much inexperience as auburn and alabama has depth problems. by the time we play UGA both teams should be experienced and it could go either way. by the time we play alabama, they'll probably have injury problems. LSU has yet to find a quaterback, has a new coach, and the recent circumstances in Louisiana could have some affect on the players, unfortunately.
So at best i see us going undefeated, at worst, even if cox is average i see us going 8-3.

Well, you make some good points, and you're right; you COULD go undefeated. But that isn't very likely. Don't take LSU too lightly; remember, we led the entire game last year and your win was aided by a call that is rarely used. So, you might say that was the only game in your magnificent season that you won by the hair of your chinny chin chin. This year, you play in Baton Rouge, fairly late in the season. Don't bet on there being any weakness at QB or head coach. You may eek out another win, but I doubt it. More likely, the many Tigers you'll be facing again will remember last year at Jordan-Hare and you might see the most balanced offense you've ever seen. Your vaunted D will have the test of their season. I do think you should beat Alabama. But if they manage to go for that long with a healthy Croyle and Darby, you probably won't. UGA is pretty much a tossup, but they have the field advantage, don't they? Ole Miss will be better than any of us think and Arkansas always gives everyone a game. Because GT is not in the SEC, I hope you beat the crap out of them, but if you do, that will put the fright in the rest of us, so maybe you should just win it without too much flair.

you could also say that we shouldn't have missed the extra point the first time. we had made like 100 something in a row. scared the crap out of me. we did have momentum and were moving the ball at the end, so we could have won it in overtime.

That was a great football game; as a matter of fact, anytime Auburn and LSU play, you can pretty much know it's going to be one of the best games of the season in the SEC, and that's saying a lot. Another good thing, too, once we've played we don't have to worry about having to play each other again in the SEC championship game. Oh, by the way, I'm looking for Tre Smith to have a breakout year this year. I've always liked him and thought he had great talent, it's just that he was always in the shadow of Ronnie and Cadillac. This may be his year to really shine.

i think people are gonna be suprised by how good the backfield is going to be. yes, they haven't played much, but they were sitting behing two guys that were chosen 2nd and 5th overall in the NFL draft. were we supposed to play them over ronnie and carnell? no they aren't AS GOOD as ronnie or carnell, but they are still high quality running backs. i don't understand why people don't see that.

i've always thought that tre was good. he was highly recruited out of high school, and was Mr. Football in Florida. he did very well against a great defense in alabama in 2002, and was good when he returned punts. all of the backs have talent, however they are just now getting the chance to show that.

Regardless how your season turns out as a whole, you're not losing to GT.
Watch out for those Gamecocks at Jordan-Hare though. :D

Seriously though, good luck on the rest of the season... except the Iron Bowl of course.
