LSU practice report 8-12-05
I have been very impressed with the arm strength of Russell, Flynn and Perrilloux. I am a little surprised that Perrilloux, being a true freshman, has arm strength comparable to the two redshirt sophomores. As we all know, Ryan Perrilloux also has great foot speed and is a great runner and I think that it speaks well for him that he is hanging with the two veterans without displaying the strong points of his game.
As for the wide receivers, Dwayne Bowe, Early Doucet, Craig Davis and Skyler Green have been very impressive. Xavier Carter, Bennie Brazell and Brandon LaFell have also looked good at times. I believe that Brandon LaFell will be an outstanding receiver before he leaves LSU. LaFell is 6’3”,180 and needs to add 15- 20 pounds before playing in the SEC. I believe that Dwayne and Early Doucet will be LSU's two deep threats and that Craig Davis will be more of a 15-20 yard pass receiver, and I believe that Skyler Green will be more of "bubble screen" and "in the flats" type receiver.
