Everyone has already heard about our freshman LB Tavares Kearney and his incident in the classroom. Hell, it was on the front page here. Well, here is another side to the story. Keep in mind that Tavares was cleared by the university a week ago.

Tavares' mom is a talk show host for a local rap station called V103.3. This morning she talked about what really happened. Here is her side of the story:

Tavares was in an exam and his phone started vibrating. He then pulled out his phone and turned it off. The TA then came over and yanked the phone away from him. Tavares then went and took it back from her and headed straight to Butts-Mehre (our athletic center).

In student judiciary proceedings, the TA gave her account of the story and Tavares refuted it. Tavares then went and got his phone records which proved that he had not received any text messages or taken any pictures during his exam.

Then, the charges of battery were brought up by the TA after the phone records proved he was not cheating.

Btw, CMR mentioned that Tavares will get a shot at some PT 2 nights ago at a Bulldog club meeting.

Very interesting..........

By the way (Btw), CMR (Coach Mark Richt) mentioned that Tavares will get a shot at some playing time (PT) 2 nights ago at a Bulldog club meeting.

If you don't understand why I included that, I included that because a lot of people were saying that Tavares would be kicked off the team and possibly expelled from school.

Yeah,I dont really know what to think about all of this.I guess its up to the AD and CMR to make the call.

All the internet liguists in here!!! It makes my head hurt. But I am glad to hear it (referring to Kearny), just some lady who is having a power trip is what is sounds like to me.

It's pretty easy to delete pictures from a phone and they don't show up on any phone records.

Yes, but the teacher yanked the phone from him as soon as he pulled it out.

It doesn't even matter anyways, Tavares has been cleared of academic dishonesty. The only other charge pending is the disorderly conduct which will probably be dropped as well.

No way either of those things happen.

He was already cleared for the cheating issue.

The only thing pending is the disorderly conduct which he will most likely be cleared of.

I was just pointing out the bogus phone record comment the article made.

well hes been suspended for one game as well as 5 other dawgs this really isnt good because Boise State will not be a blow over actually makes me more nerveou than anything
