I read some interesting info on Chris Smelley yesterday.

He basically has three schools on his list.

Alabama
Ole Miss
LSU

While LSU and Ole Miss have already offered, he still seems to be waiting on Bama. However, judging from what the kid said, if Bama doesn't offer soon (waiting on Tebow), he may go ahead and pull the trigger.

If he does pull the trigger with Bama out of the picture, its probably 70 - 30 Ole Miss to LSU.

Smelley is very good and I would like for him to stay home and play for Bama. The qb position is not one of very high priority this year due to having Johns, Barnes, and Wilson. I think the staff is is more or less saying that it is Tebow or nothing. RTR

Yeah, I don't think many good QBs will choose Bama this year, as they would be struggling for playing time until likely their Senior year.

Very true. You can never have too many qbs but I would like to see that scholly be used on a lineman or linebacker. RTR
