The Vikings have made an initial offer to first-round draft pick Troy Williamson. The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports the team delivered a contract proposal to the wide receiver's agent, David Canter, on Thursday evening. Meanwhile, when asked about the possibility of Williamson missing any part of training camp, head coach Mike Tice told the St. Paul Pioneer Press: "It is critical that rookies be on time. Critical."

Good news for any who want to see what Daunte Culpepper and Troy Williamson can do together. Earlier into camp, the better. :)

Yeah,I think Troy will be a very good WR,I would hold on to him if I was the Vikings.

Maybe he should hire Drew Rosenhaus and hold out for his entire career for more money... :p

no doubt...sounds like T-dub's agent has his head on fairly straight though. Rosenhaus should be black-balled by every NFL owner...sign NONE of the players he represents, holdouts or otherwise. That'd do two things, it'd get that smug little man away from football and it'd show the rest of the league that if you're going to sign a contract, you should be prepared to honor it.

Trust me, if TW has a good rookie campaign, this vulture will do everything he can to steal TW from his agent. He's such a sleaze bag everytime I see him I feel like I need to take a shower....

Well if you drown in the shower, Rosenhaus will be right there to give you CPR and make sure you live another day :D

I agree. He is a disgrace to the profession.

While it'd be nice to see him in a Gamecock uniform this fall, it would also be very hard to see those type numbers and say he should've stuck around. Congrats Troy, and GOOD LUCK! :D
