Spurrier has no regrets about South Carolina job
By PETE IACOBELLI

Steve Spurrier was asked recently if all the offseason problems with South Carolina's players and the just-released details of an NCAA investigation had the Ol' Ball Coach regretting his return to college football with the Gamecocks.
"You gotta be kidding," he remembered saying Wednesday. "Everything has been positive."......
....Spurrier remains as excited about the chances of South Carolina success as ever....
....Spurrier is known for running a successful program by the rules - and not tolerating players who don't act in the best interest of the team.
He says it's up to coaches, team staff and players to instill the commitment that will translate into hard work and success. It can't help, however, when you have to battle NCAA problems.....
....The NCAA Committee on Infractions now has the case. The panel can accept, increase or lessen the recommended penalties. Hyman says he has no idea if the NCAA committee will deal with the report at its August meeting or wait until later. He's even less certain about what resolution might be coming....
...."How it will all come out in the wash," he said, "I hate to project on something like that."
This isn't the entire story, just the relevant portions...
