Congrats to "OUR OWN" Raffy Palmeiro tonight on becoming only one of 4 men ever to play in the big leagues to have 3000 hits and 500 HRs!!!!!

Perhaps the greatest MSU athlete of all times!!!!!!!

Way to go Raffy!!!!!!! All of us MSU Bulldogs knew 20 + years ago that you were going to be a shining star for MSU!!!!!!!!

Nothing wrong with putting our a homer post every now and then. I didn't realize Palmerio was an MSU guy. He's a solid one and should be a shoo-in for the HOF one day.

Plus, he does a heckuva job on the Viagra commercials. ;)

Yea, I knew Will Clark went to MSU. He's a class act, and was quite a ball player. I didn't know about Brantley though (and from the little I've heard from him on the tube, I don't care for him too much).

Jeff Brantley's house has 13 bathrooms! It was funny too because one of them leaked on some like $20,000 Persian rug or something. He also has baseball bats for railings or whatever in his staircase if I remember right from my last visit there.

Palmeiro, Will Clark, and Jeff Brantley are all MSU guys.

They were all part of what most consider to be MSU's best team ever , the 1985 team that tied for 3rd at the CWS in Omaha. They were a fun team to watch , they just showed up and knocked the cover off of the baseball. :D

Also don't forget that Bobby Thigpen was on that team and actually hit for a higher average than Raffy one of their 2 years together as Bulldogs. :D
