I heard from a realiable source today that MSU's Will Prosser broke a bone in his foot today.

Don't know how long he will be out.

Who is Will Prosser?

I don't know how it happened yet.

Will Prosser is a good athlete. SE , 6-3 , 205 lbs. He has good hands , 24 catches at an average of 13.7 per catch with a long of 63 yards. He WILL be needed by MSU this year.

Positive thinking : Unless there is more to the injury than a normal break , the worst case would be he miss the first 2 games. Being honest , MSU probably beats Murray St and loses to Auburn with or without Prosser. I hope everthing is good and he is back as soon as possible.

Who is Will Prosser?

He's the only State receiver that can catch a pass.

It depends on which bone in his foot he broke. He could either be facing 1-2 months of nothing more than a soft/air cast or surgery, pins and other hardware which would obviously keep him out much longer.

Feet bones are tricky....cross yer fingers & hope it was one of the more easily fixed ones. We don't have to face MSU so I wouldn't mind them having as many weapons as possible.

We (USC) experienced the same thing with one of our DB's. Depending on the break, he'll be fine.

Our DB Jonathan Joseph broke his foot in the UGA game and we went ahead and redshirted him for last year.

JJ didn't lose a year of eligibility for that, did he? Wasn't he a medical hardship (or whatever) case...more or less the same thing Mike Rathe was appealing for?

I wanted to dispute this but couldn't find enough facts to offer a legitamate rebuttle. :D

Maybe this year will be better.

Well I was going to say Millons too but seriously, they only had 24 catches in a West Coast offense which is

Millons is very good WHEN HE CATCHES IT , problem is like some of the others , he drops too many. I hope he hangs on to more this year because he can break big gains in the open field.

Sounds like Taye Biddle.

Biddle is usually in the open field well past the DBs since he's so fast but then he drops it.

The problem Croom faces is the same one encountered by all State coaches. It is very tough to recruit top notch talent to Starkville year in and year out. A decent class every 5 years just does not cut it in the SEC. Sherrill relied on jucos and that milk soon soured on him.
