The Mississippi State game that will be played on Saturday, October 1 in Starkville, Mississippi.Sylvester Croom went 3-8 last season in his first year as the head coach and things will probably get worse before they get any better for The Bulldogs who will be very lucky to win more than a couple of games in 2005. Sylvester Croom is a very hard-nose coach and because of that two dozen or more MSU players decided to transfer after the 2004 season. While MSU is expected to struggle, that does not mean that they do not have some talent, especially on offense. Tee Milons is a very good wide receiver. Chris McNeil is one of the top centers in the league. Jerious Norwood is a very talented running back who will be a high round draft pick and quarterback Omarr Conner is a very good athlete. Linebacker Quinton Culberson is MSU's best player on defense. I counted at least six players on the MSU roster that LSU recruited and offered including Connor, Culberson, Milons, linebacker Anthony Littlejohn, wide receiver Will Prosser and freshman defensive lineman Jeremy Jones who actually committed to LSU. I believe the first half of the game will be fairly close but LSU's depth will take over in the second half. Dandy Don's pick is LSU 49 - MSU 10.
