So...the NHL Players Union and Management have finally decided to agree enough to allow the sport to resume normal activities. They're gonna have games and everything!
Is that exciting news for you as a sports fan or something you could care less about?

Hockey is ok, but they made the mistake of thinking anybody cared if there was a season or not.

I like it only because it's a part-time alternative to baseball. At least hockey allows for the small market teams to compete. But Tydefan's right, they made the mistake of thinking we'd miss them or something. Funny how SportsCenter still seems like SportsCenter with or without the NHL.

I'm one of the minority in the South who actually did miss the season this year, as hockey is my second favorite sport (right behind college football of course).
I was glad to see this news earlier today, but remember it's still not 100% official until some time next week. But at this point, I don't think there will be any problems with this agreement come next week.
If you've ever played hockey, even just a pickup game, you'll quickly realize that it's a sport that will wear you out VERY quickly.... especially if you've got any big guys playing that can make some hard hits. I honestly don't know how the pros do it, playing at least a couple games in any given week. By mid-season, they HAVE to be freaking exhausted.
It's a game that requires a lot of precision and skill, as even just passing a puck from player to player is a pretty tough task when you've got the other team out there on the ice with you trying to get an interception. Not to mention getting the thing past a goalie that's not much smaller than the goal once you finally get down the ice.

I only watch hockey if I go to the game.
