I've been checking the online prices for Alabama tickets to MTSU and Southern Miss. The upper deck tickets run from $65 - $75 a seat. I'm betting that I'll paid no more than $50 a seat on game day.

What's your experience buying football tickets in Tuscaloosa?

I had two tickets on the 20 on the visitor side opposite from the student section that I sold to some guy at the Shell station right off the exit for $85/piece. This was for the Ole Miss game last year but of course that was an angry we'll get you back this year game.

Meanwhile, I sat in the Bama student section and had my ears blasted out by the "Million Dollar Band"

I buy tix all the time in Tuscaloosa. I plan on paying no more than face value for the MTSU game. I have paid $50 for tix to the last 3 vile games, 2 there and 1 @ home. If you wait and let the market settle, more times than not you will get a good price. Also look on Bama boards for fans that for whatever reason cannot make the game and need to sell. RTR

I use StubHub.com out here from time to time. I have found that waiting until a few days before the event sents the price down.

HAHA, i just received another assistantship for the fall, that means student tickets for me...5 bucks per ticket makes me very warm and fuzzy inside.

on a side note though, alabama football tickets are among the cheapest face value i've seen. 30 bucks for non conference, 40 for conference, 35 for homecoming, 50 for auburn.

I typically pay about $650. for two season tickets. That includes a per-seat surcharge of about $100. imposed by the TAF (Tiger Athletic Foundation) for improvements and additions to the stadium. My tickets are on about the 45 yard line in the East upperdeck; very high, but good view of entire field. I often use binoculars to get a close-up view, and there are Jumbotron Screens at each end so that you can see the replays real well. Only sections of the stadium added by TAF are subject to the surcharge, and that includes both the East and West upper decks.

My two season tickets cost me $545/season. I'm in the South End-Zone, 19 rows up and a about halfway between the middle and the left side. Not bad seats, but I hope to get something in the new North End Zone in the next few years that'll be closer to the field.

Gotta say that I'm definitely going to miss the student prices mentioned above starting this season. I likely won't be able to come back for any games this year anyhow though. Hopefully next year I'll be able to get some more off-time to come back for a couple and get some tickets.

I usually buy a package or season tix but I have a new baby this year so I am choosing to buy on the fly this year.

I was going to get season tickets last year, but my wife ruined that when she messed around and got pregnant. If I'd known that afternoon would have gotten in the way of football season, I'd have told her no. ;)

My son was born September 9. He'll make his first trip to the Grove this year instead, along with his older sister. :)

Haha, Arkansas tickets are $4 total for the Fayetteville games (4 games), and $2 for the Little Rock games (2 games). So, a total of $6 for all home games for students. NOTHING beats a dollar a game!

What are the student ticket prices for everyone else?
