and the rest of the crew. what did moe and demetris ever do on a consistent basis to help. Moe had flashes. He definitely made some nice plays. He was damn inconsistent. He was no real force last year. He and gause did not really play that great. Demetris had flashes, that was all. He never was consistent either. Mainord never helped us, Smith never helped us. Boyd did help us. He will likely be back, but on thin ass ice. He better not fart at an inopportune time or he will be history. If he does, good riddance. The guys who play by the rules and make it through spring summer and fall get my vote. Steve will have em playing..His system is proven along with the knowledge that the best player will play at the positions available.
I agree...
Demetris Summers was HIGHLY injury prone. I mean let's be honest. He was hurt almost the ENTIRE year last year.

Moe is the most over-rated player in USC history IMO. He's had like 6 sacks in the last two years. He had a good freshman year, but other than that he never really showed me that much.

I say the same thing I have all along. In time, we will not miss ANY of these players. If they are what they are into, how the heck are they going to help this team?

i'll give moe credit for one thing....he was responsible for one of the coolest plays i witnessed at williams-brice. i was at the UVa game in the front row on the same yard line as the QB during the play where he came around the corner and destroyed the QB before he got rid of the ball. i was so close it was like moe was running at me. from that game on i've tried to get around those same seats at each game.

Yep. My opinion is if these guys are stupid enough to do what they did and in some instances given second chances, then they are too stupid to be on the team. These guys had a lot of potential but apparently not playing with a full deck. Don't want 'em. Don't need 'em. I wish these guys the best of luck in the future but they are not the type of players we want. Negativity breeds negativity.

Yeah, and he was also highly fumble prone! I think that he and Moe were among those that were consistently inconsistent, to the point of frustration
You come in one week and you're the MAN and the next week you have lil Suzy giving you an enema on the sideline because your tummy hurts and you can't play.
They have no concept of suck it up and drive on
Where's_Demetris?

Unfortunately, I have to agree with all of these statements. It's just harder for me because I watched all that he is capable of throughout his high school career. The only thing I will say in his defense is that he is an "I" formation back. Now, I know you can't build your entire offense around one player, but the only times he did well was when he was given a lead blocker(which was close to never-UT '03). This is why watching Lou's pathetic offensive scheme was even more difficult to watch, and I'm thankful I'll never see it again. As far as the injuries and fumbles are concerned, the boy just doesn't know when to quit. You have to know when to protect the ball and go down. Someone once said to me that Demetris hasn't got the heart. This is the most moronic statement imaginable. In fact he has too much heart for his own good. You can't simply drag 3 or 4 defenders downfield like you did in high school, this is how you either a) get injured or b) cough up the football. We haven't heard the last from Demetris. He's my boy, and I wish him the best in his efforts towards the NFL.

All of these guys were (are) talented, but have fallen victim to the "what if" of carolina football. With a no excuses / no exceptions discipline policy we'll reap the rewards of the talented kids and will be pleasantly surprised by more sleepers like Ko.Maybe not this fall, but certainly within the next two or three

I really wasn't paying close enough attention to Moe in particular but he might have been double teamed. Demetrius is a very talented player who wasn't playing in an offense that suited him. But he did seem to get injured more often then not. I guess those big college boys hit harder then your local high school athlete.
