Well, it's funny that you can get something half-way supportive written by Ron Morris. He did throw his fair share of jabs at USC, some of which may have been true, or at least true to him. But I believe that if USC would let the Coaches do what they pay them to do, which is Coach, they will be a great athletic as well as academic institution.

Spurrier will be successful because it is doubtful that he will let the boosters run the team unlike some of the other coaches have in the past.

I can't wait to hear what Spurrier has to say when Ron writes a negative article about him. You can bet it's coming too.

Oh, you can bet your bottom dollar on that! The first time that Spurs rings up a loss, Morris will be all over him

If you have the paper, you should look at the letters to the sports editor regarding Spurrier and Morris. It's an interesting read.

Yeah, I read it. I do read The very biased State paper but only because there is no other local paper here to read. I also read sources from the internet and watch the news. Did you see the letter someone wrote about Spurrier's Theisman comments?

Yep, I think that's the one that also had a reference to Spurrier and Morris in it. I have noticed that there are some very one-sided views, Op-Ed's and LTE that get published in the State paper. It used to be very informative, but now it seems that it's more like a agenda pusher than informative news.

That's probably the best article Ron Morris has ever written. "the intricacies of the quarterback draw"- good one Ron :D

That indeed is a very good article, and for those who don't understand or dispise our interest and excitement about the future here, hopefully that article spelled some of it out for you. Better days are ahead for Carolina. Regardless of what our win-loss record ends up being this season, this athletics department and staff are heading in the right direction.

Who's Ron Morris?

^^
^^

That will be Spurrier's response right before he throws the paper in the trash and goes back to work.
