Jevan Snead and Matthew Stafford

Rivals just had a great story on the both of them. It was talking about how the top 2 QBs in Texas will be playing one another in SEC territory. They both said it was great to get the whole process over with. Snead mentioned that he chose Florida because he loves Urban Meyers offense and combine that with playing in the SEC and it was a perfect fit for him. Stafford also said some of the same things. He said he loved Mark Richt and Mike Bobo. He said he looks forward to facing the best of the best in the SEC week in and week out.

I can't wait to see these 2 battling it out in a few years.

Is Snead supposed to be better than Florida's Josh Portis from California? He seems like a great candidate for the starting job in the future years. . .

Portis will likely be taking snaps once Leak is gone if he stays 2 more years. Portis is a GOOD QB. I would think UF would want to redshirt Snead this year if possible, but with Dickey playing baseball, it just may not be possible for depth reasons. Hopefully everyone will stay injury free and we won't have to worry about a depth issue at QB.
