With all the USC detractors pointing to our lack of a proven QB, I would ask you this. Could we possibly have worse QB play than we've had over the last 3 season's? I'm not sure what the numbers are (maybe Neo can help) but I can tell you one thing, USC hasn't had a 2,000 yard passer since Phil Petty left. Do you honestly think that a Spurrier-coached QB will do worse than that? We may not have an all-SEC QB but we are certainly better off than we have been in the last 3 seasons.....

Yeah nobody can be worse than Corey Jenkins, and we should've beat UGA that year!

I agree. Spurrier ALWAYS has a good QB. They may have started off slower than he wanted, or expected, but he WILL have a QB ready to run this offense by Sept. 1. Will they make some mistakes, absolutely. But he will be as patient as Spurrier can be, and these QB's will get better as the year goes along. Their lack of experience COULD turn out to be a good thing. Spurrier can coach them from the beginning like he wants them.

I agree with you GT, it's better to mold your own clay than to have to file, trim and repaint someone else's pottery. That may also give the incoming freshman a leg up, but I doubt that since they weren't there for the spring that they will be able to just make it to the field and start by 1 Sept.

I agree. Cade is very talented, and should be a really good one, but not being there in the spring, he would almost have to be DYNAMITE IMO to start Sept. 1. Playing time later on? Quite possible. But I don't know about Sept. 1. :)
