Looks like Florida got another committ this weekend.

Markie Anderson -CB
Ft. Meyers
5'10"
175lbs.
4.45 40

Looks like he camped at UF and the coaches like him. I think he ran a 4.49 40 on grass at the UF camp. I don't know to much about him, don't seem many people do. Sounds like he had a great UF camp thought. The kid says he was being recruited by Miami, FSU, UF, and Tennessee but I don't know if he had any offers from any of them.

He is going to need to add some muscle to that 175 pound frame. That wasn't meant as a flame against him so don't yell at me. He looks like he is a good prospect. If he earned an offer while at the camp, that means the coaches really liked him. Congrats.

He's benching 250 per one of the recruiting services, so he's got some strength for his size. The thing I wonder about is that his coach is on record saying the kid has never played CB. He was a WR but will play CB this year. At the UF camp, Meyer put him up against the recievers as a CB and he shut them down from the sound of things.

Sounds a little like a project, but I've read he has a lot of natural ability at the position. Who knows, might have slipped one in under the radar :)

Gators pick up sixth oral commitment
Fort Myers wide receiver/cornerback Markihe Anderson announces his intent to play for Florida.

By ROBBIE ANDREU

Florida's strong early football recruiting push continued over the weekend, when the Gators received their sixth oral commitment from a high school prospect.
The latest to announce for the Gators is Fort Myers wide receiver/cornerback Markihe Anderson, who, according to Scout.com, was timed at 4.47 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the UF football camp earlier this month.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Anderson was recruited by UF as a cover cornerback. Florida State and Miami also have shown an interest in Anderson, although UF is the only school that has offered him a scholarship.
UF now has commitments from six prospects.

Just a little more info for ya'll. . . Go Gators!
