I grew up in Spartanburg so I've heard all about the TB hospital. Sadly by the time I decided to go check it out it had already been torn down. People used to go out there on or around Halloween though....it was supposed to be INCREDIBLY freaky in there.

There is a plantation called "The Myrtles" just north of Baton Rouge in St. Francisville that is really spooky. Reports of all kinds of weird happenings are always coming from there. A recent story has a tourist (little boy about 11) taking a picture of a mirror in the hall and when developed, the picture had a ghostly lady appearing on the stairway reflected in the mirror. Probably like South Carolina, Louisiana has a lot of "haunted" places, especially in the plantations along the River Road between Baton Rouge and New Orleans, and in New Orleans itself.

I definelty heard about the one on old state road were the kids who were hit by the train while they were on the bus. They say if you put your car in neutral on the tracks the kids will push you over the tracks, people at my school have said they did it and it actually worked very, very freaky!

Yeah, cocky4ever's family and friends told me these stories almost everytime I came to the upstate to visit when I was getting to know him. I was NOT about to stop the car and walk around it to see if it wouldn't start out in the middle of nowhere! :D
"Clinton - Lydia Mill - There is a ghost of a headless woman that haunts Lydia Mill and the area surrounding it. She has been seen roaming around the railroad tracks behind the mill, and sometimes in the mill itself.
Laurens - Ghost Creek Rd - Legend has it that a couple was engaged many years ago.? On the night of their wedding, the young man died in a car crash on this bridge.? If you turn your car off and walk around clockwise it will not start.? There will be a white apparition in the trees.? The local newspaper has done many stories on this."
