The team just started voluntary summer workouts. Attendance was incredibly high with 93 players participating. There is no doubt this team wants to win. They have been working hard and the pictures show it (see below).

A couple of notes:
-Strength coach Dave Van Halanger commented on how much stronger Greg Blue has gotten. He also said Greg is stepping into a leadership role for the defense. Greg Blue is going to kill somebody this year.
-Thomas Brown is a beast.
-It is good to see the vast majority of incoming freshman already in Athens working out.
-Apparently incoming freshman MLB Marcus Washington is incredibly big. That is good because we are going to need him to help fill some holes in the depth chart at LB.
-Punter Gordon Ely Kelso was awarded a scholarship today.

Well....For all of those who think Thomas Brown is on the small side...You may want to reconsider your thoughts...Pound for pound the strongest guy on the team...Greg Blue looks like a freakin' monster!

Dude,
Thomas Brown is freakin jacked...this guy is only 19??? I know Danny Ware is no smurf himself...we have got some serious strength and depth (more importantly) at running back...
Blue looks like he is ready to take someone's head off...
Is it September yet???

Didn't Ware fall on the ball wrong when he bruised his lung? Sure Hurley delivered the hit but it wasn't the hit that directly caused the bruised lung. Thomas Brown is going to reak havok this season..He was carrying piles of 4-5 Defenders last year...He's bigger now and I think he is ready for a HUGE season.
