I think he probably saw that he wouldn't really improve his draft status by returning next year. From what I hear about the incoming recruiting class, he may have even had a struggle cracking the starting lineup next year. I know 27th round money isn't life-changing money or anything, but I'm sure his bonus will be pretty nice. At least that's my opinion on the deal.
