It's day and night incoming for baseball coach Smoke Laval since losing out in the Baton Rouge regional.

Prevailing hand-made signs on campus say:

Let's Make the Box Smoke Free

It was only a matter of time in my opionion my guess is new coach by the start of next year or decent run in the CWS! Who knows you may go after Tanner like Texas A&M.

After watching Tulane and UL-Lafayette in our regional this weekend, I would imagine that they are taking a few players that LSU is accustomed to getting. That has to hurt them. He had better cut off that pipeline pretty quickly if he wants to stick around.

Haven't heard Tanner mentioned much (yet!); the Ole Miss coach's name is surfacing quite a bit, though.

The problem with our program is we recruit too many MLB draft picks that never reach the campus. Where as Tulane and UL L recruit the players that Skip would normally recruit, which leaves us stuck out with nothing we are not developing talent anymore Smoke is looking for the player that can play now.

Its been Five year since we last won it we need to change coaches now!!!!!!!

While I think that Smoke needs to step it up a bit on developing his player's talent and in recruiting, you have to admit that Skip set the bar, and Tiger fans' expectations, pretty dang high.

In my opinion, Smoke Laval needs to rev up his engine, resign, or get fired.... Hire someone who actually knows something about baseball...
