According to Scout.com, Carl Johnson (OL), #5 in Rivals' top 100, gave Meyer and UF his verbal!

How many times do I have to tell ya, Neo? OJ was dropped from our board because of grades. From what I've heard, he wasn't signing with UF regardless of what usc was doing. ;)

Also, concerning Johnson, if everyone else can enjoy the untempered thrills of early verbals from very high-profile athletes, there's no reason we can't either. Until something happens, and I don't think it will, it's "party-hardy" time, lol.

Johnson (6'6" 348) picked UF over So. Cal, Miami, F$U, Oklahoma, Michigan, and a truckload of other offers. From his interview, he's more than solid.

Tremendous get for Urban and staff. There is not a program in the country who would have turned down a verbal from him. Considering that OL and fast WR are the area's of concern for the Vols, this is not what I wanted to see.
