Since I follow recruiting so closely, I figured I would make a thread like Neo did except for Georgia. Neo you can chime in if you like as well.
Georgia has commitments from the following:
DE Brandon Wood-Haralson County(rivals top 100)
OL Justin Anderson-Irwin County
OL John Miller-Woodland
OL Ben Harden-Perry
WR Kris Durham-Calhoun
QB Matthew Stafford-Highland Park(rivals top 100)
Jamar Hornsby-S-Jacksonville, FL
We have made his top 5 which includes UGA, UF, GT, Michigan, and Southern Cal. He is originally from Atlanta so we have just as good a shot as anyone.
Antwine Perez-S-Camden, NJ
He is a very good looking safety and he hits hard. He is about to realease a top 8 where he will chose from over 40 offers. Georgia is expected to make that list.
Btw, the Nike combine is being held in Athens this Saturday. It is expected to be the biggest one this year with over 500 prospects attending.

You can read about each committment under this link....I too follow recruiting very closely. We have made ship offers to both Stafford and Tebow....Which one do you think we have the best shot at? I personally think Stafford is almost a lock to be a dawg. There is talk about Tebow being drafted in the first couple rounds of the MLB amateur draft.

Obviously we just got Stafford. I knew we had a better shot at him than Tebow anyways. This commitment is huge though. It could very possibly turn into more top kids wanting to come to Georgia with him. Just like all those top prospects followed Chris Leak to UF back in 2002.

Marcus Sims-ATH-Talahassee, FL
Marcus is the brother of FSU's star linebacker Ernie Sims. His top 7 includes FSU, UGA, AU, UT, LSU, Miami, and Southern Cal. Recently he said that FSU and UGA really stick out but he is still considering all 7 schools seriously.
Chasman "Ox" Davis-LB-Fort Pierce, FL
Florida and Georgia lead but he is still wide open. His former teammate Jamar Chaney signed with Georgia this past year.
Justin Williams-ATH-Folkston, GA
Florida, FSU, and Georgia lead with Florida having the slight edge.
Tony Wilson-WR-Daytona Beach, FL
Georgia still leads but he is still wide open.

Brandon Wood-DE-Buchanon, GA
At today's Nike combine Brandon Wood, Georgia's first commitment, did very well in the agility drills but he dominated the one-on-one matchups. He was going up against Andre Smith the highly touted OL out of Alabama who some feel is the top OL in the nation. Brandon got the best of him twice. The first time he faked outside and beat Smith to the inside. The second time Brandon just fired off the ball to the inside and again beat Smith for what would have been a sack. I am pretty sure Brandon will be named MVP of the camp. His stock has definetly (sp?) risen today.

Tony Wilson-WR-Daytona Beach, FL
UGA still leads. Florida is right behind though.
Kiante Tripp-OL/DL-Atlanta, GA
Has a top three of Georgia, Florida, and Auburn.
Myron Rolle-DB-Princeton, NJ
Widely considered a top 10 overall prospect. His top 8 includes Miami, Oklahoma, Michigan, Florida, Florida St., Texas, Georgia, and Penn St.

NaDerris Ward-TE-Oakland, CA
Georgia is in the lead for this 6'5" TE from California. He has family in the Atlanta area which helps. He asked his coach to send film to Georgia and Rodney Garner called his coach and offered him very quickly. Apparently NaDerris is not only a good receiver but a very good blocker as well. A national recruiting analyst from Rivals.com said NaDerris is the best TE in the nation from what he has seen so far. UCLA is next behind Georgia.
Tony Wilson-WR-Daytona Beach, FL
Georgia still leads for this Rivals 100 WR. Florida is close behind.

Chris Slaughter-WR-Fort Valley, GA
Former teammate of UGA WR AJ Bryant. Georgia was once his leader but he now says he is wide open. Many believe it is going to be either Auburn or Georgia. His nickname is "Mr. Sure Hands".

Antwine Perez-S-Camden, NJ
Antwine has just released a final 8 that includes Southern Cal, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Tennessee, Florida, Oklahoma and Ohio State. The only one of those schools he has visited is Tennessee. He really likes the SEC and says it is the best conference around and you always play the best competition in the SEC. He will make a decision in December and plans to enroll at the school of his choice in January. Many feel he is the top safety in the nation.

Davis Ausberry-WR-Lemoore, CA
Ausberry is a 6'4" 200 pound possesion receiver out of Lemoore, CA. His top consists of Southern Cal, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State and Nebraska. When asked about Georgia he said that we have the athletes and we are stacked everywhere. He likes Georgia for its athletes and academics.
Randell Bell-RB-Roswell, GA
Georgia leads for this 5'10" running back out of Auburn. He has no offers yet, but if he had the grades he would have a lot of offers. Georgia will most likely sign and place him at Hargrave Military Academy.
I would also like to add that Mark Richt said that we were looking to sign about 28 kids this recruiting season. Some of them will be enrolling early. Two of our commitments are definetly enrolling early and that would be WR Kris Durham from Calhoun, GA and QB Matthew Stafford from Dallas, TX. Coach Richt also mentioned that when Chris Leak committed to Florida a bunch of top players followed him to Florida. He said some of our early commitments might have the same effect and then he did a throwing motion (since he isn't allowed to mention recruits names specifically). This could be a very special class for Georgia.

Micah Johnson-ATH-Fort Campbell, KY
This athlete out of Kentucky is being recruited to play numerous positions including RB, DE, DT, and LB. His favorites are Arkansas, LSU, Penn State, Louisville, Georgia, Tennessee, and Kentucky. When asked about Georgia he had this to say. "People don’t know it but I was actually born in Columbus, Georgia and I like Georgia. They have a great team and lots of talent. They are also recruiting very well and they just picked up one of the best quarterbacks in the country in Matthew Stafford. They are doing something right down there and I like that staff too."

Akeem Hebron-ATH-Gaithersburg, MD
This ATH from Gaithersburg, MD says Georgia is on top among about 30 offers from top programs around the country. He says he watches Georgia on TV all the time and he likes what he sees. He is still pretty wide open though and will not make a decision anytime soon.

Pierre Andrews-C-Charlotte, NC
This center out of Charlotte, NC is the former teammate of Georgia signee's Mohammed Massaquoi and Joe Cox. His top 6 schools are Virginia Tech, LSU, Virginia, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee. He will take all 5 visits and have a decision around signing day.
Lee Tilley-OT-Springfield, OH
This monster tackle from Ohio has a top 5 consisting of Georgia, Auburn, Arizona State, Florida, and Oklahoma. He really likes Georgia because of our coaching staff and the fact that we were the first to offer him which meant a lot to him. He will make a decision mid season and will likely enroll at his school of choice in January.

Justin Williams-WR-Folkston, GA
Justin Williams comes from a family with a very rich football history. His first cousins are Boss, Champ, Ronald, and Kenny Bailey. All of which played at Georgia. He has narrowed it down to 2 schools. The 2 schools are Georgia and Florida. He is expected to decide around mid season.

Took part in junior day this past weekend in Athens. He has been to Athens many times but learned something new this trip. Freshman signee Jeff Owens is a cousin of his he didn't know he had. Asher says he will visit Georgia and LSU for sure.

"Statesboro, Ga., quarterback David Cone and Flint Carman-Ainsworth linebacker/wide receiver Quintin Patilla have verbally committed to Michigan for the fall of 2006."
Anyone know if this guy is any good? Any semblence of competition for playing time for Tim Tebow?

If he does, I'll be surprised as F$U was his fave growing up. But if he does, something tells me he won't be the last SC 4+ star player who ends up in Athens this recruiting season, that I all but guarantee!

Some of these posters here have been asleep while Richt has been stockpiling talent, too busy listening to the LSU, UT, & FU fans and their hoopla over the last couple of years. This class is well on its way to Top 10 status and there are more than 15 more still yet to go.
I can hardly wait for this year's group of redshirts and a few true freshmen to hit the field and the jaws of our most vehemently in denial rivals hitting the ground (they know who they are)!

Georgia just picked up it's first commitment of the 2007 class. Tanner Strickland, a 6-foot-5, 310-pound offensive lineman for the Rebels of Berrien County in South Georgia, was recently offered and he jumped at the chance to play for his home state Georgia Bulldogs. SB will probably have more on this a little later on...

Georgia just picked up their 16th commitment for the 2006 recruiting class, as home state product, Tucker GA, Four star Defensive Back Asher Allen (http://uga.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=35935) chose to end his recruiting early, before the Boise game even started.
http://vmedia.rivals.com/uploads/878/268700.jpg
AA chose the Dawgs over loads of teams (he had 50+ offers) but mostly Florida and LSU. He is a member of the Rivals.com Top National 100 players list (73), and is UGA's fourth Top 100 player SO FAR, joining five star Dallas Texas' Top 10 and #1 QB Matthew Stafford, four star MD LB Akeen Hebron, and four star GA OL Justin Anderson. He said his solid commitment is as firm as can be, and he's glad it's all over with so he can focus on his season. And like so many of our verbals so far for 06, he's on track to graduate and enroll in Athens early! Tucker also produced former UGA and current NE Patriot RB Patrick Pass, former TN RB Jabari Davis, and former, and now future teammate, UGA RB Thomas Brown.
Glad to have Asher, GATA, Go Dawgs!
