I think UGA will go 7-4 with losses to Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, and Georgia Tech. Possibly Auburn as well. :cool:

Here are my best/worst case scenarios at the same time...
OPPONENT (BEST CASE -- WORST CASE)
BOISE STATE (WIN -- WIN)
away from the Smurf-turf, UGA wins in a walk
SOUTH CAROLINA (WIN -- LOSS)
This ain't Boise State anymore...
LOUISIANA-MONROE (WIN -- WIN)
The people of Monroe, LA will be on the edge of their seats...yah right
@MISSISSIPPI STATE (WIN -- WIN)
Give Croom time....for now though, UGA can out-talent the other SEC bulldogs.
@TENNESSEE (LOSS -- LOSS)
don't see it happening
@VANDERBILT (WIN -- WIN)
Cutler's best game won't stop the Commodores from getting out-talent'ed (that a word?)
(H) ARKANSAS (WIN -- WIN)
Ark's best hope is to keep it close in Athens...now if it were at Arkansas it MIGHT be a win-loss but it's not....
(Jacksonville) FLORIDA (WIN -- LOSS)
Getting UF out of the Swamp was a small victory already...doesn't mean it will happen on the field though...
(H) AUBURN (WIN -- LOSS)
I think this'll be a fun game to watch...two programs who lost a ton of talent/leadership from last year's team. Flip a coin, i say :D
(H) KENTUCKY (WIN -- WIN)
Oh, those Wildcats....they'll get even come basketball season.
@ GEORGIA TECH (WIN -- LOSS)
You can never tell with those in-state rivalries...
So...let's tally that up:
Best case = 10-1 and that's if everything goes perfectly...
Worst case = 6-5 if the wheels fall of early & often....
I'm sure they'll end up somewhere in-between so I'm going to say 8-3 and leave it at that. I don't think BTH, DJ & the rest of the Dawg fans need any more bulletin board material than we've already given them! :D

Best=11-0 (you can dream)
worst=6-5 (definatley possible but doubtful)
realistically 9-2 or 8-3 (Loss to UT and upset to USC, UF or both)

I agree with you DJ, 9-2 is most likely but 8-3 could happen if my cocks can unleash the beast... ;)

Not happening if you ask me. We could lose to some of those teams (except GT), but we will not lose to all of them. I see us going 9-2 with losses to UT and UF. 8-3 is realistic as well with a loss to Auburn as well.

I see a 10-1 or 9-2 season.
The home schedule stacks way in UGA's favor and I don't see USC winning in Athens. Auburn is always a "who wants it more" thing but I think UGA wins this one. The loss or losses will come to either Tenn or Florida and maybe both.

If Georgia can't run the ball effectively from the outset, it could turn into a looonnnnggg season for you BTH, with those expectations...

i say either 8-3 or 7-4 depending on how Shockley does throwing the ball....if he does well enough i could see 9 wins and maybe the 10th in a bowl game but i think that 8-3 or 7-4 is being more realistic....

I don't think running the ball is going to be a problem. When you have backs like Thomas Brown, Danny Ware, Kregg Lumpkin, and Tyson Browning...That is something you will never have to worry about. Add in Shock's ability to run and you have something. The question everyone keeps asking is if Shockley will throw the ball. I truly believe he will pass for around 2500 yds or so with a lot of TD's to Pope and Bailey. Everything will work off the run. UGA has the easiest schedule in the SEC this year and they will take advantage of that.

I say 8-3. Shockley will likely win a few for you and lose a few. The defense will again be strong, but I think that the o will struggle at times with consistency. I also think that UGA will be in several close ones this season that will determine whether UGA stays where they are or takes a step back.

So, what else is new? Our offense has never been consistent. The closest we got was in 2002 but in key games such as Florida they didn't produce. Our offense scores the necessary points to win and lets the defense do their job. It has been working out alright if you ask me. If our offense gets really high powered though, watch out is all I got to say.
