Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall and that "An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide."

Here's how America might commit suicide:
1. Turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural country. History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual.
2. Invent "multiculturalism" and encourage immigrants to
maintain their culture. Believe that all cultures are equal, that there are no cultural differences.
3. Include dual citizenship and promote divided loyalties. Celebrate diversity over unity. Stress differences rather than similarities. Ignore the fact that diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other - that is, when they are not killing each other. A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precedent. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation together.
4. Make it taboo to talk about anything against the cult of "diversity." Words like "racist" or "xenophobe" halt discussion and debate.
5. Make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. Believe that because immigration has been good for America, it must always be good. Make every individual immigrant symmetric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them.

Having made America a bilingual/bicultural country, having established multi-culturist, having the large foundations fund the doctrine of "Victimology," having every discussion contrary to multiculturism suppressed, having over 100 languages ripping the foundation of our educational system and national cohesiveness is suicidal. Barbaric cultures that practice female genital mutilation are growing as we celebrate "diversity." American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third World in America - take note of California and other states - to date, ten million illegal aliens and growing fast.

If we don't get this immigration monster stopped, it will rage like a California wildfire and destroy everything in its path, especially The American Dream.

Why people want to welcome law breakers into the country, I'll never know. Seems that these are NOT the kind of people we want in our society.

If so, we were doomed from the get go then. People came here for freedom of religion. I.E. Not everyone was a reformed orthodox Presbyterian. Yes, immigration is a real problem that needs to be dealt with, but immigration and multiculturalism are not going to be our downfall. We are a great nation in large part due to our diversity and acceptance of different cultures. That and freedom baby! One thing above that is obviously true though :"American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third World in America..." Class warfare.

IF we have no national identity, how can we stand firm on any issue? There should be no multiculturalism. There should be only one - American Culture. True this was given rise out of multiple cultures, but it is now unique to this nation. As of now, we are allowing our culture to be dilluted by MILLIONS of illegal immigrants, predominately mexican. A spanish version of every govt. pamphlet, form, and document is now available to accomodate those who want the benefits that America offers, yet refuse to assimilate and actually LEARN to speak and read english higher than a 2yr old's level. I've heard several people say that forcing people to learn english is forcing them to throw away their culture, SO WHAT! If they LOVED their culture SO much, why didn't they stay in their country and DO something to make their situation better? HMMMM? We did it a couple hundred years ago and yes people died, but we got it done. I say catch everyone that we can and regardless of their situation, throw them out. Don't give them the choice to show up at INS, give them the chooice to get out or be put to work picking up trash for several years and THEN thrown out the coutnry.

Couldn't have said it better. Multiculturalism has become a euphemism for "cultural isolationism." Receive the opportunities, education, health care, protection, and freedom America can provide without assmilating yourself into the very fabric that is responsible for creating those benefits. There's a reason Flushing, NY is called "little Tokyo." From the street, you couldn't tell a restaurant from a drug store. We gather these "huddled masses" at the expense of our own identity. Immigration wasn't this way at the beginning of the twentieth century. My great grandparents WANTED to BE American....not just live here.

The difference is huge.

Receive the opportunities, education, health care, protection, and freedom America can provide without assmilating yourself into the very fabric that is responsible for creating those benefits.
