Guys,

I just thought I'd announce that we've signed Ryan McBride, a 6'6 200-lb. JUCO SG, for the 2005 class. He chose Arkansas over PIttsburgh, Tennessee and Kansas State. He's the shooter we so desperately needed last year. He averaged 17.1 ppg and 7.2 rpg as a freshman while shooting 56.5% from behind the arc. As a sophomore, he averaged 21.4 ppg and 8.7 rpg to go along with a 47 percent clip from 3-land. After visiting Fayetteville he canceled all his other visits. He joins Cyrus McGowan, 6'9 230-lb. PF from Meridian, Miss., and Sean McCurdy, a 6'2, 170-lb PG from Jersey City, NJ, in Arkansas' class next year. With Sullivan quitting, we still have one scholarship available. We've filled all of our needs, so I expect Heath to go after the best available prospect now.

Theo Davis 6-10 200 lb PF announces on Friday. Arkansas and Tennessee(plus a few others) are among his finalists. It would be nice if Heath would let the Vols get another recruit as the lack of post players for the Vols could be a problem next year.

Excellent news Jay. Nice size and we all know we need the shooting. I am interested to see how McCurdy works out though.

McCurdy is supposed to be a pretty good ball handler and defender.....he did go to St. Anthony's where he learned from coach Bobby Hurley Sr.

Yep that is good news. Guess we shall see how the West pans out now. Bass leaving definately helps!
