Yea Matt Jones is an interesting player with unlimited potential. But I put him in the same Category with Derrick Watson. Lou once told him You will either fill stadiums one day or you will be sweeping them out, the choice is yours. You saw what Watson chose now well see about Jones. I hope he does well, I always enjoyed watching him(except against USC).

rumor has it that the NY giants might be interested in Jones as a wide reciever for Eli. With Burress and Jones Eli would have some real good targets.

I would really get a kick out of seeing Eli and Jones hooking up for touchdowns.

I would not mind that at all. They definitely need another receiver. I wouldn't mind Mark Clayton either.

That would be awesome I always liked Jones, Matter of fact I alway's thought he was slow until i saw him in person. wow was I surprised.

Did the rumor say when the Giants would pick him up? It seems practically impossible to guess when Jones will be taken.

Yeah I always liked Clayton. He really worked hard and made himself into a great player, while other receivers on that team had more potential but never made it happen (I'm thinking B. Jones, tho he turned out okay, just not as good as he should've been)

Thats the craziest thing about him, he looks really slow, but for some reason nobody can catch him. He has a really long stride with no wasted motion.

What I heard was that if Jones was available when the Giants pick they would probabley take him. Not sure but I don't think the Giants have a pick until 2nd round.

They signed free agent Plaxico Burress last week.

You're right, they have the 11th pick in the second round, 43rd overall.

It's probably a bit homerish of me, but I think Jones should go before 43rd. I just don't see so many people ahead of him with that kind of potential.

I would really be surprised if he lasted that long, but you guys are right, it's a complete crapshoot. I know where I'd draft him, but I have no idea where he'll actually be drafted. I think he'll go late in the first or very, very early in the second. I'm just glad he's finally getting some props though. When the 2004 season ended, the debate wasn't whether he'd be drafted in the first or second round, it was whether he'd be drafted or sign as a free agent. He's come a long way since then, and once he gets a few months at WR under his belt, the sky will be the limit for him.

I think he'll go early second round, you might see a time try to move up to get him early in the second or late first.

I tend to agree with you jay, I think, considering the class, that Jones will go late first round, He is so versitle and a very talented athelete. The combine was a career saver for Jones. If he would have entered the draft strictley as a QB, I don't think he would be drafted. Maybe practice squad, like Lorenzen (Kentucky).I hope he lasts til second round and maybe the Giants can get him.

All I know is he is a winner. Everything about him is deceptive. He seems to have an answer for any plan against him and he does his thing without being flashy. Yes, send him to the Giants.

These are some awesome highlights of MJ that show just how fast and athletic he really is:

Nice highlights Buz. I loved the b-ball one. If MJ wouldn't have played football and focused on basketball, he would've been All-SEC. He did it all -- except shoot free throws. He was a great passer, naturally, good rebounder, excellent offensive post player and the best defensive player on the team, with the exception of Ronnie Brewer.

I also loved how he flipped the ball behind the back and nailed bevo in the grill.

Anybody else notice how it was in the 4Q and a one-touchdown game? That run ended any Texas chance of a comeback. Can you say clutch.
