Not a lot going on in the UGA recruiting world for now, so let's take a look at some of the team notes that have come out since spring practice has begun:

Tra Battle is starting off the spring as the safety opposite Greg Blue; Antonio Sims is listed behind him on the depth chart, with Kelin Johnson backing up Blue.

Brandon Miller was working with the first team linebackers the first day of practice. Tony Taylor has moved to the top Mike linebacker spot. Dannel Ellerbee has taken jersey #33. Jarvis Jackson and Jamaraio Smith will miss spring practice with minor injuries; both should be good to go by August.

Ray Gant is getting some reps at DE. Darrius Swain looks to be in very good shape. Marcus Jackson is still waiting medical clearance before resuming practice.

Chester Adams is playing with a cast on his hand after breaking it during mat drills, but is taking part fully in all workouts. Both Josh Brock and Bartley Miller are back practicing at full speed; it remains to be seen how their shoulders will hold up when contact begins.

Leonard Pope has received praise for his attitude during mat drills. Coleman Watson has shown up for spring in good shape and has a chance to earn some more PT.

Sean Bailey and Bryan McClendon are starting spring as the top two WRs, with Bailey assuming more of a leadership role. Both Demiko Goodman (slowed some by a sore groin and running track) and Kenneth Harris have shown promise. A.J. Bryant had the best play the first day of practice.

Joe Tereshinski and Blake Barnes will battle for the back up position as D.J. Shockley finally takes over the #1 QB spot.

Tyson Browning will remain at running back, after some speculation that he might move to WR. Both Kregg Lumpkin and Danny Ware will cross train some at fullback for possible two back sets. Lumpkin is taking part in most drills, but will not see contact this spring.
