South Carolina lost a big supporter last week with the death of Dr. William Gause in Columbia. His son played basketball for the Gamecocks in the 70's and he has had all three children and two of his grandchildren as students there. His grandson is a sophomore there now. Dr. Gause loved his Gamecocks and never missed a home game and usually made several road trips each year. The church played 2001 as the pall bearers carried him from the church. He will be sorely missed by family, friends, and USC.

I was a patient of the good Doctor's many years back. He truly did love his Gamecocks. What a tribute to him and his beloved teams to have played 2001.
