I think it will be SC, UGA, LSU, and Vandy. It could be UF in place of Vandy though.

SC, LSU, and Georiga...doubt the Vandy one...

USC and LSU

4 teams from the SEC? Three would be amzing enough. UGA is supposed to have a real good pitching staff this year so they'll be in the hunt. Needless to say when tourney time comes around LSU and USC will be teams to beat.

The Hogs may not make it again, but I wouldn't count them out either - LSU, Georgia and SC are good bets as well - The UnderHog

Yeah, don't count Arkansas out. The Hogs have the majority of their starters back from last years world series team. Pitching is the question with this team. Dave Van Horn got some great recruits, most of them pitchers, so if the freshman pan out Arkansas could be dangerous. It's tough to get to Omaha without great pitching though.

I'd put money on LSU and SC.
if the Hogs can get a stellar year from the mound they'll have a shot as well.

There isnt really much tv coverage of college baseball until the regionals. The only games I'll be able to see on tv are 3 of the SC/chumpson games for the regular season as of now.

FSN will cover SEC baseball games from time to time, but they won't start until conference play does.

Because I live in an SEC town, we do get lots of SEC TV baseball here. Most, of course, are from Cox Cable (which is excellent, by the way), but they cover almost all of our away games and many of the home games. We get good coverage for women's basketball and men's basketball, too. Last night, for example, featured the Lady Tigers and Kentucky. So far with baseball, we have had TV for all of the Tigers' games.

Must be nice to have a lot of your baseball games on tv. Maybe if SC can keep winning like LSU has done for so long in baseball we can start getting more of our games on tv too.

Damn Geaux, that's awesome. I live in Fayetteville and we hardly ever get Razorback baseball games on the tube. I get my cable and stuff through Cox too. That must be nice.
I love going to the games though. If any of you guys are big baseball fans, you should come check out a weekend SEC series at Arkansas. I'm not being a homer here either. I care about the baseball team, but they run a very, very, very, very distant third to basketball and football. The stadium is first-class facility and provides a great atmosphere during meaningful games. The best part though is cooking out and boozing it up in the outfield. Oh yeah, and heckling the hell out of the opposing left fielder, but I don't get into that too much.

Yeah man I am the same way,it is football then Basketball, then a very distant baseball.

The Georgia areas get great baseball coverage on CSS. Since we here in Columbia are with Time Warner Cable, a rival of Comcast, we get the big screw. Luckilly I spent a ton of time in Athens last spring and was able to watch many games. I think its channel 31 or 33 in Athens, but I've been told that most everywhere in Jawjuh gets the CSS coverages. The only time we get to watch the Yardcocks play is when LSU comes to town and they broadcast it......sadly enough yes, LSU has to broadcast it.....only then will one of our local info stations pick it up.

I am not a great baseball fan, either. I go to three or four games a year because they are fun (and cheap, compared to football). I like to watch our Lady Tigers in basketball (also cheap). Lately, the men's basketball has taken off, so it is getting more interesting. But LSU is a die-hard football school. The people who tailgate at the baseball games are just pining for the football season I think.
Here is one of our really good pitchers who, I guess, is destined to be a millionaire some day. ;)

Yes, he is a good one. Another good player to watch. Stephen Head from The Rebels. He is one of the best all around players I've seen play the game in a while.

Right now, as I post this, I am watching Tulane kicking LSU's butt on TV. Tulane is ranked Number 1 in the country, LSU is ranked Number 5. The score is 3-0 Tulane in the 5th.

Tulane won over LSU, 6-2. They are strong; good pitching, good hitting, and good fielding. No weaknesses.

Don't count them out just yet.

Ole Miss isn't a bad team. They have a pretty good team, I just don't think they are of the same caliber that LSU and USC are.

I agree with Carolina and LSU but don't know a lot about the other teams. Living in TN I hear and read a good bit about the Vols, but I don't predict them to make it this year.
I do wish that they'd show more college baseball on TV. I used to watch all of the Braves games, but after watching Carolina in the regionals and CWS, major league baseball seemed boring. Now I just watch parts of some Braves games.
My son went to Omaha last year to the CWS and said it was a fantastic experience that every baseball fan should experience. Hopefully the Gamecocks make it again and I can get a chance to go this year.
GO COCKS!!!!!!!!!!

I hope we make it. We have very strong pitching. We haven't gotten much run support so far this year. Hopefully our hitters will pick it up and help out our pitchers.
There was nothing better in the 2004 season than beating Georgia Tech in football, basketball, and then sweeping them in the super regionals in baseball at their place. Nothing better IMO.

Tulane has already cleaned our clock this year. They are for real (unfortunately).

I see USC going back to the CWS as the first team in SEC history to go to 4 straight.
I also see LSU and Ark as "locks" for the Regionals. Possibly Ole Miss as well.
