Did SC A&T (Clemson) have to wait for release and/or probation for these guys?

2004/2005 recruits
Durrell Barry
Elsmore Gabriel
Corey Lambert
Jacquez McKissic
Phillip Merling

Seems these kids did so bad at recruiting in 2004 they had to re-recruit in 2005. I wish recruiting was that easy for Carolina, we could keep recruiting the same top ten class every year. Remove these players from thier list and USC out ranks them on all boards. Is it me or SC A&T desperate enough to recruit kids that don't have the ability to sign thier LOI's with anything other than an X?

It's a smart tactical decision. It can backfire if you're not careful though. Keep the recruits away from your competition. Think about it. :D

They signed two LOI's? How does the school get around that? I understand the tactic, as cheap as it may be, what I don't get is how they get credit for signing the same player twice.

We did it with Fred Bennett. He didn't quite qualify in 2002 so he went to a military prep school on his own for a year to get his grades up. Because he didn't play football and paid his own way at the military academy, he didn't lose any of his eligibilty. :D
