What position do ya'll seriously expect him to play, assuming he continues his career at South Carolina ? I just can't see him playing QB in Spurrier's system. A wide open offense is predicated on getting the ball to the play-makers in the open field and if there's one position where Newton is a natuaral fit in that scheme, it's as a slot reciever.
In the past, Spurrier has utilized immobile QB's with lettuce arms, yet the one common thread was that they each had the ability to make good reads and effectively deliver the ball to the right guy at the right moment. I just can't see Newton in that role. Especially when you consider how thin the recieving corps is currently and Newton's explosive ability to rip off huge gains after the catch. It just doesn't make sense to have him throwing the ball to someone else.

I am leaning towards Newton playing WR also. He definitely has the speed and the hands. :D

You pretty much see things like I do on this matter. I think Newton would be best placed in the slot and rotated with Boyd who has proven to be a great slot receiver. Even if Newton did get a shot at qb after he threw his 2nd interception he would be moved. I think he would also do good on special teams because of his scramble ability and his skill at getting out of a crowd.

I don't understand why Newton would even want to play QB in college. I would want to play the position that would give me the best chance to play at the next level. For Newton that would be WR. I just don't see him playing as a QB in the pros.

If SN is allowed to rejoin the team this spring, he might keep the QB job for a while...depending on how much truth is in the rumors that BM wasn't dedicated to film study. Also depends on SN's ability to learn to read defenses. So, it's still quite possible.
Most likely, he won't be able to rejoin the team this spring...in which case he will fall way behind the other QB's. Based on that, his passion to play, and his proven experience at QB...I agree with everyone here: he's a WR.
Bottom line, this suspension will most likely end his QB career.

I'd like to see him bulk up 20 lbs and play safety. His brother is a safety at Furman and I've seen him lay the wood to people.

That's a GOOD thought. If we are set/get set at WR, I bet he would make an excellent safety.

I was at the Furman/Georgia Southern Game, Furman has a pretty good team, and Cam Newton is definately a good talent...
