Tennessee beat the Gators? In Gainesville? What the hell is going on today? The Wildcats have to be shaking in their sneakers. Move over Kentucky, Alabama, Miss. St., there is a new sheriff in town. And he goes by the name of Buzz

That game made SC's chances in the East look that much better.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but Florida has not been the same basketball team for the last couple of years so I wouldn't get too excited about a win in Gainesville. Beat UK, LSU, Auburn, MSU and Ole Miss and we'll talk. ;)

When your team is 1 out of 7 in previous games at the O dome, it is a big deal. Robertson had a bad shooting night. Walsh returned for the Gators, but I wonder if he did more harm than good. If you know anything about UT basketball the past couple of years, it is that they can play with most teams, but have a hard time finishing games. The USC game this year fell into this category. The Buzzballers have now played three pretty good games in a row after watching Vandy wipe the floor with the Vols in Knoxville. It is a huge win, because many believe all this team needed is some confidence. The Vols will get to show if they really are a better team. They step out of conference to play Louisville in Kentucky on Saturday. The next game after that one is back home against the Kentucky Wildcats. The Vols should have a better idea of where they stack up.

Come on man... throw Bama in the mix too. :p

I was hoping that the Bama at UT game would be nationally televised, but looks like it is a JP game. I've just moved out to Arkansas this week, and I don't think there are any JP stations on my cable lineup.

Cool... just found out that the local ABC station is a JP sports affiliate. :)

I am afraid that some of you misinterpreted my sarcasm as over-confidence. If UT plays good defense, rebounds, sets screens, holds on to the basketball, passes, takes good shots, grabs all the loose balls, runs the floor, gets the crowd involved at home, takes the crowd out on the road, makes the vast majority of their free-throws, and gets the breaks on close calls, then I feel that they have an excellent shot at making the NIT.

I hate to be down on my team, but they have done nothing, except for the win at Gainesville, to engender much confidence. Hell, we even lost by 30 at home to Vandy. Win today at Louisville or at the very least make a respectable showing and I will start to feel better about them.

Well you can take MSU off the list as the Vols beat them before their trip to Florida. I will relace them with Alabama as this game is in Knoxville and the Vols should be able to compete and possibly win this game.
