View Full Version : OJ Murdock
Does anyone know if OJ Murdock made the trip to SC this weekend. If so, how did it go? Does SC have a chance to sign him?

Rivals updated profile has UF leading (high) with Tennessee (medium) followed by FSU (low), UM (low), and USC (low). He camped at Florida, and everything I've read says UF has the inside track. We also have the last visit. :)

Yall do have the last visit, but you know better than to count out the OBC until that ink on the LOI is dry. :)
Rivals.com also said that TB Mike Ford cancelled his visit to USC. Everywhere else they say the visit is still on for Jan 28th. :D
If anything, Spurrier is known for pulling out his aces in the last effort.
Speaking of recruits, yall may lose Avery Atkins. He was quoted as saying that he's going to "shock the world" on NSD. His teammate and USC commit Gerrod Sinclair was quoted as saying that he and Avery agreed to go to the same school.
How much of a shock would that be to de-commit from Florida to go to USC? :)

We may not get Atkins or Murdock, but we sure made a lot of noise in recruiting this year and the fact that we (USC) was considered by these type players bodes well for the future. Even Holtz was not able to do this well in his first recruiting class.

Nah...that's been going around for a while. We asked Mark to get an interview for GatorBait, and he called Atkins, asking him what the deal was at this point. Atkins said he was firm. He's a Gator.
As for the rest of our board, these next few weekends are HUGE. Meyer backloaded a lot of the visits. If we can get just 3 on our board, we'll be top-10 pretty easily. Any more than that and we could get one of the top 5 classes. If we miss on most of the board, which doesn't seem likely because a lot of teams are reaching their saturation point by now, then we're looking at anywhere from 15-20. And that's not bad for this year considering the coaching changes (e.g., Zook AND Locksley), Meyer's late start, and the fact that his staff didn't get down to Gainesville until a few weeks ago.
Well, grab Tebow and be back in the top 5 next year. Watch out.
