You might wish to change whatever source you have for UGA:

Offensive departures (starters): Greene, Gibson, Brown

(FB Thomas had "issues" and lost his spot to Fr. Williams)

Defensive departures: Pollack, Thurman(Jr.), Davis (Jr.)

----------------------

Dawgs lose the following Seniors/eligibily completed from the roster:

Greene, Pollack, Gibson, Brown, Thomas(FB), Harrison (LB)

Senior LB Tony Taylor got a medical redshirt, DE Will Thompson & DB Albert Hollis got 6th years for their injuries.

UGA returns 38/44 of it's '04 2-deep:

(more than 2 ea. listed at some spots so I counted all who saw action)

Defensively: 8 Seniors, 5 Juniors, 4 Sophs
Offensively: 10 Seniors, 10 Juniors, 5 Sophs

------------------

An outstanding group of redshirts will augment the two deep along with the returning guys missing the season due to injuries. Few outside of those Dawgs who keep close tabs realize that after Fall Practice the '04 Dawgs were missing more starters & two deep players than the team loses at the end of the season counting the two Junior defections. Scary!

Des Williams got the start at FB as Thomas was suspended and only at the end of the season get the nod due to being a Senior. They both saw lots of snaps, so it's more like splitting hairs than significant.

Thompson did get a 6th year or so it was posted, but he wasn't the starter in half the games opposite Pollack. Harrison swapped starts with Jarvis Jackson all season, again, not anything to wig out about.

Under Richt, a staring nod is something that can change weekly and is used to reward guys for good work in the various areas as well as to signal displeasure for less satisfactory stuff. Since UGA uses almost the entire roster anyway, the degree of separation from 3rd team to starter isn't as vast as it is on most other teams.

troxel3, looking at your sig pic brings back some fond memories from my youth and teenaged years as my family raised German Shephards for military use. If that's you, you're a fine looking Soldier and thanks for volunteering to keep it free for us old farts and even the bammers. ;)

Bad info on the SEC page on Auburn.

Langenfeld and Eddins both started during the year - only they both play the same DE position so only one can be counted. Both guys on the other DE side are coming back. Derrick Graves only started when Williams was hurt the last two games of the season. Williams is listed as a starter coming back, along with two other starting LBers. Auburn ran a defense with 4 DLs and 3 LBs. The SEC listed 4 LBs as starters. So we only lose 3 REAL starters off the top ranked scoring D in the country.
Their info is goofy. Count the returning D starters and the D starters leaving and you get 12. LMAO! And they only list 4 O starters leaving. They don't list Ronnie Brown. He was a part time starter alternating with Carnell sometimes and with FB Jake Slaughter on others. Slaughter is back. So 3 on defense and 4 1/2 offense is accurate.
