Tennessee will be that good, but they play at Florida and LSU back to back weeks in September...that's brutal. Plus road games to Notre Dame and Tuscaloser (haha), and host Georgia, Ole Miss, and Spurriers's bunch. The schedule is not kind next year!!
I think the Gators are the team to beat next year, and watch Georgia...they will be flying under the radar next year and will be tough. NO WAY Bama goes 8-3.....sorry!!

My take, 1st post too.

EAST
Tennessee (should be very good but impossible schedule)
Florida (It all depends how quickly the players believe in Meyer's plan)
USC (Spurrier still has it, he will beat UGA, his best games were against them)
UGA
Kentucky
Vandy

WEST
LSU
Bama
Auburn
Arkansas
Ole Miss
Miss St

UGA will most always be a team to watch out for, but do realize the strength og UGA's team has been its defense during the Richt era. Without VanGorder I'm not sure they can count on them the way they did this year. If not for their defense they would have lost 2 or 3 more games.

i doubt bama wins more than 8 games. heck i think 8 wins would be an awesome year. i guess i'm a little pessimistic, but i have my reasons. 3 new OL, lack of depth will be BIG problems for us this year.

SEC west is up for grabs imo, it really depends on les miles and lsu, they have a very talented team, but it's their first year with miles.

SEC east isn't much easier. tennessee and florida have very talented teams, but tennessee gets the slight nod cause it's meyer's first year.

West East
1. lsu 1. Tenn
2/3. bama/auburn 2. Florida
4. ark 3. Georgia
5. MSU 4. S. Carolina
6. ole miss 5/6. Vandy/Kentucky (who cares :p)

West
1.Alabama
2.LSU (due to coaching change)
3.Arkansas
4.Auburn
5.Ole Miss
6.Miss. St.

East
1.Tennessee
2.Georgia
3.Florida
4.South Carolina
5.Vandy
6.Kentucky

If LSU didn't lose Saban I would have them at #1. They have so much talent coming back. We will see what Miles does for them. The East is a toss up IMO. Tennessee should be good but their secondary is still a concern especially with Jason Allen leaving. I wish he would come back, we got some payback for that little punk. I think Georgia will suprise some people next season. We are talented enough to win the SEC. Just a question of will we show up and play to our potential or not. I still do not think Florida's defense is good enough to compete for a national championship. I might be off but thats what I'm thinking. Add to that a coaching change and I'm not sure they can win the East, JMO. I think the SEC Champ will be LSU or Alabama.

West:

1. ALABAMA (11-0) no bias at all!

2. LSU (9-2)

3. Auburn (7-4)

4. Arkansas (6-5)

5. Miss. State (5-6)

6. Ole Miss (4-7)

East:

1. Georgia (9-2)

2. Tennessee (8-3)

3. South Carolina (7-4)

4. Florida (7-4)

5. Kentucky (5-6)

6. Vanderbilt (2-9)

Alabama beats Georgia in the SEC title game and goes on to win their 13th National Title. They have the players but the coaching is still a Question mark.

no...we have the first stringers...i'll give you that. our first stringers can play with usc (southern cal not s. carolina :p) if they wanted. what we lack is depth...and i'm actually starting to like shula. he's the stability that this program needs to return to greatness.

LSU takes UT in the Champ.

This looks pretty good. LSU will, however, more than likely be 11-0 and beat the crap out of USC (the other one) in the national championship game.

I would love to see LSU vs. Southern Cal. Now that would have been a good Sugar Bowl. :)

LSU in the title game ain't gonna happen!

And DeL, had he said Alabama would have gone 11-0 you would'nt have agreed with him. You seem high on LSU all of a sudden.

I'm talking about the MNC game that LSU and Oklahoma played in. I was saying it would have been a better game with Southern Cal there.

SEC is gonna be a real good conference this year IMO. This year we were sub-par for the SEC. We will be a tough conference this year and a good race to watch.

Well, 425...as I live and breathe. 'Sup, dude. You're a bit far from home, huh? Me, too. This seems like a good bunch, though. :D

I think Bama has a good shot to win the West next season. Auburn has a lot to replace and LSU still hasn't found a QB consistent enough to win (See the Tide this year). Bama will be good if Brodie, Tim Castille, and Darby remain healthy. Others to a lessor degree. If LSU's Russell or Flynn play up to their pre-signing reputations, LSU could be real good.

In the East, I gotta put my money on UT (maybe UGA). I think Clausen is the key. Florida has a new coach and I doubt his system will be installed and learned by the fall. Could be wrong, though.

Does it sound like I can't make up my mind? Well, I feel pretty storngly both ways. :p
