Joe Paterno hasn't played a TRUE Freshman in over 20 years. Why does Derrick think he's gonna start now?
This kid is making a serious mistake. Looking at Joe Paterno and the shape that Penn State is in, I think he's making a ROYAL mistake.
There's another example of wasted talent at the hands of Joe Paterno in the last decade.
Joe Paterno is very stubborn. He will NEVER play a true freshman no matter what. He believes in seniority instead of who's the most talented. That's why Penn State is hurting. Freshman recruits/immediate impact playmakers don't like to ride the pine. Paterno makes sure that they ride the pine.

Don't get me wrong, Joe Paterno was influential in college football and I know he still wants to coach, but he's killing Penn State by staying.

HE NEEDS TO LEAVE ON HIS OWN ACCORD. BUT I DO WONDER WHAT HE IS TELLING HIS RECRUITS ABOUT HOW MUCH LONGER HE WILL COACH. HE GOTTA HEAR THE RUMBLINGS
