Just wondering if the SEC Pickem' was ever going to be updated? Week 14 scores were never entered, so the leaderboard is not up-to-date.
Also, any chance of entering the bowl games that involve SEC teams into the Bowl category of the Pickem'?

I PM'd Dudeman and Chris to see if it were possible to crown the winner of the SEC Pick-em and NFL Pick-em with little badges in the box that has their avatar in it. If you win it multiple times, you get little hash marks for each time you win it assuming that they do this every year.
The badge would say something like this:

The basketball would be a lot harder to update. The only way I could see them doing that is by doing every other game.
It does sound cool doesn't it???? It would brew some friendly competition in here and give ya some bragging rights. If you have a tie in either one, crown them co-champions.

I think what they can do for basketball is like pick about 10 games in a month span and then let us pick them and then have like the top 10 pickers go at it during march madness. LOL sounds complicated but if it could be done it would be pretty fun I think.

Actually...thats a great idea! 10 games a month sounds good. That way they would have to update it only once a month.

Yeah and like you said, it makes it a little more competitive and fun. That may be why people didn't stick with it. Not to mention you earn some bragging rights too! Nothing against the prizes that he has to offer, I would much rather have the little gold or silver badge on here that says I was the NC at SEC Pick-em.

Oh man, from day one, I fell in love with this site. I've constantly thought on how we could improve the site and such. Since I have had problems with the wifey, this site is a BIG stress reliever for me and if I didn't have it, I think that I would have alreayd killed her. LOL!

For the Pick-em's, have like a Hall-Of Fame section. Each year, the winner is added along with his hometown, favorite team and his name if he doesn't mind.

That would be cool but VERY EXPENSIVE. Chris would have to purchase extra space and maybe a dedicated server for that. Or maybe a little thing for high scores playing as/against SEC teams in the sports games.

Here's the deal:
I can add games, add weeks, add teams, and input scores to the Pick 'em. Before the end of this week, I will have the last week of the regular season, the SECCG, and bowl games put in. The last regular season week and the SECCG will not count since we know the outcomes.
The Picker
The Pick 'em system was designed for football. I could probably add any SEC basketball playoff games in March, but the regular season is too much to keep up with. I wish there was a way that we could let others update it, but it's designed to be accessed by admins only. A hall of fame section is feasible, but How about like a special champions section , you know post the team and what sport they won and then post the members of the team ( ppl that listed the team as their fav). that is not.

I like the badge idea. But I don't know how to implement it. I'll look into this further...

The idea about honoring team's fans if they won most likely won't work. When a team wins, everyone becomes their fan. Also, I'm not big on giving special privileges to members because their favorite team won something. It doesn't seem fair.

If we couldn't do the badges, we could always just have a clickable Hall-Of Fame and you could put the winners info there. Like I was saying before. The year, kind of championship (NFL and or SEC), user name, hometown, favorite team, etc, etc. Somebody can always add a little something to their signature showing their championship and the years they won it.
That seems like it would be a lot easier on yall. If it's easier to just do football pick-em's, I'm fine with that. I can totally understand how busy you guys are and everything. :) I just have a blast playing it!!!!!

I know one thing, Tennessee is surprising me. They came to play! They haven't won a bowl game in like three (3) years.
It's still early though.....Tennessee dominated Clemson in the first half last year if I'm not mistaken. In the 2nd half, Clemson did a complete 180.

LOL I did pick Auburn to win that one :) . I havent been around since thursday night, I went to Mobile to stay with some friends and then took a trip to Biloxi and lost some money lol. I will humbly accept the charge of 2004 SEC pick'em champion ... but only after Auburn / Virgina Tech. Its an honor and priviledge to be apart of the pick 'em board and I enjoyed it very much and I just love how it came down to the last week. :)

Boy, with the pro's it could go either way. The one thing I do wish is if Randy Moss scores another TD he would at least drop his britches when he moons the fans. He needs to work on that part of his game to get it right.

I think Indy will beat NE. Indy is on fire right now and this is not the same Peyton Manning from seasons past. If this game becomes a shoot-out, Indy has the clear advantage. :)

Never know I might mess up and get the rest wrong. The remainin games are going to be very good and highly contested so anything can happen. Im around Grasshopper just dont post as much as I used to. I havent really had the time honestly and if I cant back up what I say I dont wanna waste anyones time readin my post nor do I wanna look dumb by not being able to back up what I say.
