http://www.sectalk.com/boards/images/logos/Florida.gifThe firings continue.
What has college football come to? I have lost count as to how many coaches have been fired in just 24 hours. This is getting way out of hand. Some of the terminated coaches are legitimate and have fairly decent records on their resumes.
Florida: Ron Zook (23-14-0) overall
Notre Dame: Ty Willingham (21-15) overall
Indiana: Gerry DiNardo 8-27 (57-68-1) overall
BYU: Gary Crowton 14-21 (42-30-0) overall
Ole Miss: David Cutcliffe (44-29-0) overall
It seems like ND fired their coach just to have a shot at Mr. Meyer. If that's the case which it probably is, then what has college football become. I don't want to believe that it has sunk to the level of "Wins & Losses" only. It's slowly looking like universities are wanting the wins immediately and I'm sorry, it doesn't work that way. You cannot polish a rock into a diamond overnight. Apparently, most of these AD's believe that you can.
